Today my wife and I just bought a 2009 Journey R/T in Utah. We took it for a decent test drive and loved it. I spent a lot of time this morning researching reviews and problems and noted the brake and electrical problems, but we went over the Carfax history and there didn't seem to be any problems so far. The car has 72,000 miles and seems great. We got an extended warranty that will cover it until 125,000 miles, so that should cover us.
The vehicle has V6, roof-mounted DVD, heated leather seats, Serius radio with touch screen, backup camera (which isn't currently working, but I used that to bargain them down and they'll still look at it and fix it if they can--it came on once, but only that one time), 7 seats (or more like 6.5), and moon roof. I think we're going to like it. The six-speaker audio system sounds great! (Although it's not as nice as my Saturn Sky stereo system.)
My daughter totaled our Toyota minivan last Saturday, or a week ago today, so we went out last night looking to replace it with something that WASN'T a minivan. I think we made a great choice.
