  1. Yes the work and shocks were covered by the warranty and they were replaced at the dealership. I did have to argue with them to get them to change the shocks at first but after a ride with 2 Mech, and the service manager in the car I was able to show them the problem. They did install the new factory tourring shocks and from what the mech, told me they are a paine for them to install as they have to get to them from inside the Journey.
  2. Well what do you know, They fixed it and it rides great. I had only one good shock from the factory and I was right about it being way to soft. From what the mechanic told me, one of the shocks had no oil in it even if there was no visible sign of a leek or a crack or any other means of telling that it was a bad shock. So much for quality control on that one. Anyhow .. Great job to Delarie Dodge here in Ottawa.
  3. The trailer only puts about 75 / 85 on the tongue. The problem is with more then 300 in the Journey . It was supposed to be ready for me this morning to pickup a 7:30 am but when I got there it was still all on in piecess in the shop. The Mechanic was not at work yet but the service rep brought me in to take a look at it. It seams to be a very big job just to change 2 shocks. Most of the under back side including the mufflers are taken off as well as the 3rd row seating. From taking a look at the old shocks that were on the ground, I had one of them that leaked all it's oil. I hope this is not going to happen againe as this is quite a task to get them changed.
  4. Hi, I made the jump from a 2007 Jeep liberty to a new Dodge journey 2009 but I'm starting to regret my move. I loved the solid feel of the liberty and the controle you have with it on the road. My whife didn't like the limited space in the libery with 3 young kids and so it was time to move to a 7 seater. The journey looked like a good choice and it could " ON PAPER " pull my small popup trailer and had lots of room in it. The problem being as soon as you add more then 300Lbs in the back of the journey " Passanger or other" the rear end has a very large bounce and the rear suspenton does not seam to be good enought to keep it stable and prevent the bounce. This get even wors when the trailer is attached. I didn't get any of this bounce with the Liberty. I've gone to the dealer 2 times about this and both times I get the all is ok with it from them. It's going in againe tomorrow for this and this time I'm forcing them to change the shocks as I can't stand it anymore. If this can't fix it , I will have to look at changing it as it's realy bad
