  1. Greetings,

I have the build sheet for my 2012 DJ Crew; I'm the second owner bought from the dealership where it was originally sold. There are some build codes I don't understand and am hoping the collective wisdom (or just one knowledgeable person) can help me. Here we go . . .

    Vehicle Option - All

LBLS Driver Passenger Lower LED Lamps

    - Are these the LEDs at the bottom of the door that shine on the ground? YES

LMKS Daytime Running Headlamps, High Beam

    - Does this mean my DRLs are on with high beam? NO.IT MEANS YOU HAVE DRL'S WHICH USE THE HIGH BEAM LAMPS DURING DAYTIME DRIVING

    LPSS CHMSL Lamp

    - What is this? NO IDEA

    SBPS Performance Steering

    - Is this the stock steering? NO, UPGRADED FROM BASE MODEL

    SDDS Touring Suspension

    - Assuming this is the stock suspension? NO, UPGRADED FROM BASE MODEL BECAUSE YOU HAVE A CREW AND LARGER TIRES

    X81S Instrument Panel Parts Module

    X82S Door Parts Module

    X83S Front End Parts Module

    X84S Front Suspension Parts Module

    X85S Rear Suspension Parts Module

    X88S Tire Wheel Parts Module

    - What are all these "X8*S" modules? THESE ARE THE COMMUNICATION MODULES ON THE CANBUS SYSTEM

    - Where are X86S and X87S? DONT NEED OR DONT EXIST

    Z1AS GVW/Payload Rating

    - What is this? THE CODE FOR GROSS VEHICLE WEIGHT. SEE PLACARD ON INSIDE DRIVERS DOOR JAMB FOR MAXIMUM WEIGHT OF VEHICLE (PASSENGERS PLUS LUGGAGE)

    Optional Equipment

Tire Pressure Monitoring System -- I think these three codes are related to the TPMS YES

X88S Tire Wheel Parts Module: I think this contains (among other things) the Sensor/WiFi Transmitters? COMMUNITCATION MODULE

CX8P CORA Tire Press Monitoring Sensor: I think this is the WiFi receiver? YES

XGMP Tire Pressure Monitoring Display: I think this is what presents data from the receiver to the EVIC display? YES

X9AP For More Info, Call 888-539-7474

    - I think this is to activate Sirius? YES

    ZBHP Spring - Left Front

    ZCUP Spring - Left Rear

    ZPFP Spring - Right Front

    ZRUP Spring - Right Rear

    - I'm assuming these are suspension related? Why would these show under Optional Equipment? BECAUSE YOU HAVE THE TOURING SUSPENSION NOTED ABOVE. UPGRADED SPRINGS FROM BASE MODEL

0CBA FAM: JC Tracking: [bunch of numbers] MY: 2012

    - What on earth is this? MANUFACTURER TO DESTINATION. THE PATH OF WHERE IT CAME FROM AND WERE IT ENDED UP

2DLA Customer Preferred Package 2DL CREW OPTION PACKAGE

28L Customer Preferred Package 28L CREW OPTION PACKAGE,

    - what are these?

If anyone can help me understand any of these codes I would be ecstatic!

    Thanks,

    Matthew

  2. but I don't think just changing the sub will improved bass enough, the problem is with the crossover that is built into the deck/amp :( I have heard of people putting in a separate powered sub woofer and seeing improvements though :)

Nope, changing out the sub won't help. Already been down that road. I disconnected it and installed a 200 watt powered 10 inch subwoofer. It's a Basslink from Infinity. The system sounds fricking awesome now!!! For 200 bucks, best mod yet.

  3. Thanks guys, I took it back and they had severely under-filled it. Had to put 4 more quarts in...thinking they didn't put any in

Ah yeah, they forgot to put the oil in the engine. You are very lucky you didn't seize the motor. And never check the oil with the motor running.

  4. To hook up the powered infinity sub do you still have to run external power wires and rca cables to the back? Or can you tap in to the stock amp under the passenger seat?

This Infinity sub-woofer has a 200 watt amp built within it. No extra amp needed. The installer will be putting in a LOC on the head unit for the RCA jacks.Yes, it still needs power from the battery and he will run the wires.(All hidden of course).

He's just going to disconnect speaker wires to the OEM sub,and leave in place. This way, all I have to do is hook it back up if I ever sell the car.The other 6 Alpine speakers will continue to run off the OEM amp.

  5. Hello all, I've had my Journey since December... about 3 weeks after buying it, the edge of the driver seat started to chip off... Has anyone had this issue? Is this something that Dodge can take care of. My legs don't even rub against the seat, All I tried doing was cleaning the seats and "oh damn." Has anyone had the same problem? I have the white leather with orange stitching...

Can you take a picture of it and post it. I have the same leather option. I'd like to see where you are talking about. I received my Crew last month.

  6. The 100 rating for the tire you mention is 1764 pounds per tire x 4 = 7056 pounds.

You don't need to worry about the minimum required, as long as the tires exceed your maximum GVWR.

Your GVWR is: Five passenger Vehicle, FWD 2.4l 5005 lbs, or Seven-passenger Vehicle, FWD 2.4l 5250 lbs.

So, 7056-5250 = 1806 pounds left for passengers and loading.

    Speed rating: H = 130 MPH T = 118 MPH

I highly doubt you'll be driving over 100 MPH in a 4 cyl Journey.

  7. The info is located in the operators manual under "Starting and Operating". It's all there. The maximum load is listed on the placard which includes recommended tire pressure. Inside drivers door pillar.

If you don't have the manual, download it from dodge.com

The speed rating all depends how you plan on driving your vehicle. My Challenger tires are rated for at 147 MPH, but for a Dodge Journey that's a little over kill. Most passenger tires are rated well above the safe limit and you should not even have to worry about it.
