I think by removing the fuse you reset the door module. I had the same problem on mine and resetting the module by pulling the fuse always fixed it. I found that when ever I set the driver window auto up feature it would mess up the switch again. My fix was to not set the auto up feature. Although I did take the door panel off and clean the door module wire harnesses. Has been fine ever since.

Kingdomcarclub is it still working with replacing the module? I have a similar issue and everytime I disconnect the wiring to the module and reconnect the door switch starts working fine.

Another thing to try is taking off the driver's side door panel and removing the harness from the module and reinserting after about a minute. I had to do that a couple times in order to get the window switches to work. I currently don't have my Journey anymore and I don't exactly remember how to get the panel off. I believe there is a screw on the arm rest and behind the door handle, the bottom needs some yanking for the plastic pins and then the whole assembly lifts up and out.
