  1. I don't think the engineers at Dodge are looking into the DJ's defects. As simple as this "seal leak" should not be happening especially since the 2012 version is the 4th year they are making this model. And don't get me started about the premature brake wearing and rotor problems. QA and testing could be better.
  2. Its good that i've read here positive feedbacks about the DJ's brake and rotor problems. So they are indeed epidemia of '09 and '10 models? This convinces me to bite the bullet with the 2012 R/T
  3. Yes, that's what i'm doing for the past week - building my own via website - but i didn't think of matching it with my local dealers. My opinion is the salesman is pushing for the journeys in their lot, maybe because he can get a better commission on their cars rather than getting one from another dealer. He even said that he can lower the price more if i'd get the one that's in their lot - which he will only compute if im already decided. Btw, any journey 2012s that's having brake issue so far?
  4. Thank you for shedding light on this issue. At least I have one assurance that not all journey models have brake issues. Btw, all things being equal at what mileage do cars usually replace brake pads? rotors?
  5. So, what i'm seeing here is a 'known' issue of the journey's brakes? Meaning at 20,000km i must expect a wearing down on the brakes and have them replaced or serviced? This kinda bothers me cause i'm buying the 2012 Journey and am expecting it will give me headache later on = meaning after 3 years or so. I mean im a light-footed driver and I take care of my cars alot but having brake problems just after a year isn't good in my book. Our toyota hiace is going 50,000kms this months and i've not heard issues with whatsoever, unlike this. I know it's not apples to apples but is Dodge really is that unreliable? Jeez.
  6. Hi! I'm new here I just visited a dealership near our place here in peace river, AB and test drove a Durango SXT and a Journey R/T. Me and my wife are leaning now more on the journey since it suits our budget and we can add all options to it but still has a reasonable price. Now about ordering in factory, i don't know if my agent is BS-ing me or not because he said I cannot order now since they stopped manufacturing 2012s and since 2013 models aren't out yet I just have to choose what's in their lot. Or he could get me from another dealer but cannot guarantee a discount. What's your opinion about these guys? Am i being screwed or what? Thanks!
