8.4N Head unit installed. I already had all the wiring pre-installed since I removed a 4.3S from the car and it was just plug and play. -
4.3 Bezel removed. -
Center Stack removed. -
Starting the upgrade (sorry about the sun) -
Ok, so I received the 8.4N RB5 today and installed it. I'm happy to say that everything functions right out of the box and the installation was very straight forward. Won't have to go to the dealership to flash the software so far which is good since I won't be back in the U.S. for another 8 months. Here are a few pics of the work.

By the way, Which Mopar number is correct for the lower center stack for the 8.4n radio for the 2012 DJ Crew? I've seen 1RK591X9AD but I've also seen AB and AC.

Oh, and I'm overseas so I had to order it from a third party parts dept. but from what I've been reading the price I paid is about right unless you buy it from Ebay or something like that.

i'm getting the RB5 with sat, nav and DVD. The radio without the extras is less.

Thanks for posting this info., ordered the kit from mopar ($1799.00) and will let you guys know how it goes (with pics) as soon as I recieve the radio and bezel. I'm waiting to buy the lower stack until I know for sure that it doesn't function with the 8.4.
