  1. Winter tires are a must for pretty much anywhere in Canada. AWD, RWD, or FWD. Once you drive a winter in them, you'll never suffer with all-season tires again. I got a great 17" package from discounttire.com, Tire Rack has good options as well. From both of these companies, the TPMS modules are dirt cheap compared to the dealer and work perfectly. Why go without when the cost and convenience is so low?
  2. it's also worth noting that in many European countries the DRLs can be run through the fog lights instead of the high beams. I really want to set mine up this way and we tried a few different codes at my dealer which they claimed didn't work. I'm sure it's possible but most dealers don't want to spend the time testing things with the software. It should be code LNL. The Scandinavian coutries require the clearance lights to be on at all times (we often call them parking lights), that code should be LMN. Eithier of these options would look better than the high beam, imo.
  3. apparently on this forum you need 30 posts before you can PM, no wonder no one is on here compared all the other forums I've been on.... spchan, it is still available, I'm going to try to PM you my email addy.
  4. starting in Late MY2012 they removed the second switch since it was essentially useless. Saves them 50cents or a dollar on every one made. ...but they didn't bother to make the hole in the dash smaller so it should look exactly as webslave describes.
  5. I highly recommend the Curt Hitch (#13335) from Hitch Depot. Great price, free shipping to most of US and Canada. Easy install, did it myself in about an hour (once I had all the tools together), and I had never installed a hitch before...
  6. I have one for sale, taken off my Journey same day I got it, so it was only on the car for the trip from Mexico to Canada. $20 shipping inc.
  7. 2012 R/T Copperhead Pearl here, black interior, seriously considered the Pearl interior because of the orange stitching but wasn't convinced I could keep it clean enough. Also added more tint to the back glass (5%) and 50% on the driver's and passenger's windows. Should post some pics once I wash the dirty beast.
  8. do you have any "favorites" set on your Sirius radio? There's an option for it to chime when one of your artists or songs comes on a station that you're not listening to.
  9. yes, it is the one to display on factory 8.4" screen. After install, dealer needs to add the Sales Code to your car through their DealrConnect s/w.
  10. yes, you can add the back up camera. Google part number 82210916AC. I found it online somewhere for just over $300, but can't find the site right now. You'll also be able to find the install instructions on-line. http://www.factorymoparparts.com/82210916ac.html
  11. if you start digging through this website, you should be able to find many of the parts and part numbers you need. http://www.factorych...68100273AA.html The only part you probably won't be ablt to change is the cluster and radio display the comes up "Dodge" instead of "Fiat".
  12. well, bought the WeatherTechs. They seem good, but don't really look like they can hold a lot of snow melt. We'll see how they work this winter.... thnaks!
  13. Simply put, are the WeatherTech Mats and liner really worth twice the money that the dealer wants for the Dodge mats and liner? The pictures on the WeatherTech website look like they have great coverage and the Dodge / Fiat seem a little plain.... Thanks!!
  14. Look at a compnay like Ross-Tech. They have been doing adjustments for VW (Audi, Porche, Lambo, SEAT, etc) for years. Their program is reasonably priced and works fantastic. Making changes and adding factory parts and options is so easy when you know which bits / bytes to chage in the car's software. There's no reason that a similar company could not do the same for the new can-bus Dodge product..
  15. Chrome wheels = option on R/T in Canada
  16. So the next question is.... In some EU countries, like Poland, the DRLs are run through the fog lights instead of using the high beam. Does anyone have information on changing the US / Can ones to work like this?
