  1. The example you mentioned where car was running and someone left the car with the key fob happened to my wife and mom. Mom driving DJ and dropped wife off at Dr office. Mom started to drive off and car started beeping and engine shut off. Wife comes out to see my Mom and DJ parked in the middle of the street. GB
  2. Yes if you open door but if you pass fob through window it doesn't.
  3. So the other day I pull up to daycare to pick up my son. It's cold out so I decide to keep car running while I go inside to get him. I open the door with key fob in hand and as I am getting out of the car, the horn starts blaring. It wont shut off. Turned car off, horn still on. Turned car back on then off and the horn finally died. So I chalk one down to WTF and move on. The very next day I go to get in my car after work and the battery is dead. (2012 crew v6 AWD I bought 11mo ago). I jump the battery, the horn goes off again second I connect to battery. Jump it and go straight to dealer. Dealer said switch that controls horn and dash instrument in center cluster. Anyways that drained the battery, they replace defective switch and battery. I come by to pick up car. I'm inside car and as I leave the car to get service paperwork from Dealer, the horn goes off again just as it did the other day. This time dealer was right there to see it. Then i tested panic button, just flashes lights, no horn. 15min later, panic works fine. To top it all, car doesn't detect key fob after car running and can drive car without key fob in the car, it is supposed to shut off engine in that scenario. Has anyone had any of these issues?
  4. I experienced this issue today at the dealer when I was picking up my 2012 crew for other electrical problems (another forum discussion). Anyways it couldn't detect key fob after opening car door while running. But this is where it gets crazy. With the dealer, actually took key fob out of car, so no key in car and was able to drive away. Engine is supposed to shut off when attempting to drive with no fob.
  5. After a new amp and stereo, they found the issue with the wiring harness. We were able to isolate problem to when car was running. They think it had something to do with the antenna wire not being grounded properly. So when car was on I would get feedback through the speakers. So far so good, will monitor for a bit just to make sure
  6. Issue still exists so they have opted to replace entire Uconnect unit. Will see if that changes anything. I too thought it could be a blown speaker as it sounds to be coming from front speaker in dash. So I adjusted the balance from left/right and front/back and all speakers have same symptom. I doubt all speakers are blown but wont rule it out. Process of elimination. Will keep you posted.
  7. Has anyone had an issue with a clicking sound coming from their speakers on 2012 Journey? Clicking is louder as volume is turned up. It is very annoying and dealer can duplicate but can't resolve. Tried replacing amplifier but no change. Having dealer update SW on my 8.4 Uconnect to see if that fixes it.
  8. I have a 2012 Crew with 8.4N unit. Have had the car for 2 weeks and today, while listening to the radio, the system automatically switches to AUX player (changes to player screen) and then toggles back to radio. It as if the stereo is detecting something in AUX jack but nothing plugged in. It happens at random intervals. Dealer has not heard of issue. Anyone else having problem? Thinking about resetting unit but unsure how.
