  1. I own a 2009 RT AWD model with the 3.5 HO. I have recently discovered that these vehicles are very capable in offroad situations. I live in rural Ontario and have been taking my DJ though some deep muddy fields, up steep inclines and over smaller-medium sized (rideheight restricted) obstacles. I am very pleased with the overall performance of my Journey, the awd works flawlessly although i find the ESP needs to be deactivated in order to get the momentum to tackle some of the deeper stuff. I am currently looking into some offroad modifictions for my vehicle although aftermarket for these vehicles is nonexistent i hope to adapt a lift kit for my journey and put on some larger more aggressive tires>. Will post pics and videos later. Happy Trails!
  2. Hello, I am a 38 year old married father of two, living in Cambridge Ontario, Canada> I am employed as a trailer mechanic/custom fabricator in kitchener Ontario. After purchasing two Dodge vehicles in the past year (08 Grand Caravan for the wife,2010 Avenger for our daughter) we have gone full circle and picked up a mint 09 Journey R/T AWD for me. As a Ford guy this is step out of my comfort zone but I am very happy with my DJ so far. Looking forward to a good Canadian winter tosee how she handles the snow,(yes it is a she< no name yet! suggestions?)
  3. I am a 38 year old married father of two. I live in Cambridge Ontario on a farm> I have always owned RWD vehicles and cursed them in the winter! We recently switched brands( I was/is a die hard Ford guy) We bought a 08 Grand Caravan for the wife, and a 2010 Avenger for our daughter. After looking at some offerings from Ford and GM we decided to stay with Dodge and purchased a 2009 Journey R/T AWD this week. I am a trailer mechanic in Kitchener and living in Southern Ontario winters can get dicey once in a while so a an AWD vehicle seemed like a good choice. Really enjoying my Journey, looking for ward to some snow!
