  1. Okay Forum sorry I just need to vent...

My Journey arrived at the dealer on Nov 11th. However I could not get in touch with the delivery manager for a week when I finally got him on the phone he told me he could not look up my car by name and only could look it up by VIN, strange but okay. When I got home I called him with the VIN and he said yes it is at his dealership which I already knew. We scheduled an appointment five days later which is today; however, three hours before the appointment he left a message on my voice mail saying the keyless ignition was not working correctly and it will be a while before I could pick up the car. Naturally when I called him back he did not pick up. This entire process has been very frustrating. This will be the forth time this so called new car has needed repair before it has been delivered.

  2. A Fenkell Repair Status is just that. It means that your shipment was delayed due to some type of damage on the vehicle, whether it was bumped into, creased, damaged by the carrier or what ever... Depending on the severity of the damages / repairs, you have the right to refuse delivery of the vehicle and Chrysler has to sell the vehicle as a USED vehicle... again, depending on the severity of the damages. They also have to inform you of such damages. Sorry to scare you, but, these are the choices you have. Good luck with it.

Thanks Goaltender, While I will not pretend I believe cars do not get transit damage from the factory to the dealer it is the three times over a two week period in repair status that worries me.

  3. I thought they weren't taking orders for 2012 models until September. I know there were a lot of options that were labeled as "late availability". If they took your order in July, it's probably just been sitting and waiting for parts. Some of the parts (like the 8.4 inch screen) supposedly weren't available until November 1st.

Thanks generaltso. The insight movement report states it was scheduled to build on August 3 but completed and shipped to storage on August 17. It was not actually listed as released from the factory until September 15 and put on a train until Oct 1st so you may be right. That said its the three Fenkell Repair Status - Damage Reports that concerns me more than the actual time.

  4. So I can't track my car.

It doesn't show up. I sent Cust Service an email with my VIN and their response is contact your dealer...

I mean WTF Dodge is the one that controls the VINs and manufacturing process...

I had the same problem but I used the link below and was able to track mine. just replace the two <paste vin here> with your VIN number and copy the entire link in you browser. worked for me, good luck.

  5. Okay my Journey was ordered on July 29 and it still has not been received at the dealership. I checked the status and it is in Fenkell Repair Status - Damage Report for the third time in three weeks. My question to the forum is has anybody else had to wait 100 days for a Journey to make its journey and does anybody have any insight into why a car would have to go into Fenkell Repair Status - Damage Report three times?

Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide.
