  1. Our driveway is on a bit of an incline. Ever since we bought our DJ, it jerks a lot when backing up our driveway. Does the same thing when backing up any moderate incline, i.e., parallel parking on a hill, etc. We are about ready to take it in fo rthe first oil change and will have them look at this, too. Thought I might see if anyone else has run into this. If so, what was the cause/solution? Thanks!
  2. Thanks for the details...I will take these in to my dealer, who just yesterday said trailer wiring wouldn't be available for the 2011-12 Journey until February at the earliest. Depending on their response to this detail, I may be looking into aftermarket wiring...
  3. Did your dealer get the 4-pin harness installed for you? IS it functioning properly? If so, what is the part number they used. My dealer says they don't exist...after I was told during the purchase negotiations that a towing setup "is not a problem - simple one day drop-off"...yeah, okay...now I know better. In my frustration, I emailed Dodge directly asking for the part number to order, and their response was, "All factory parts and accessories can be ordered through your dealer." Um, okay...how 'bout you let me know what part number to order...sheesh. I got one set of numbers from Armenddega up in Canada, but my dealer says, "oh, those must be Canada only parts..." So, hopefully the part number of the harness you had installed will be correct for the USA. What a pain...
  4. At least you've gotten some answers...my dealer still says there is absolutely no trailer wiring for the 2011 Journey...I know something exists, but convincing them of that seems to be impossible. Even with part number of the 4pin harness others had installed, I still get the same run around...
  5. If those are the part #'s for the 2011 with LED tail/brake lights, then yes, that's exactly what I needed. Apparently the 09-10 harness is no the same. It still surprises me that I am the first 2011 owner in my area to ask the dealer about the harness. Thanks!
  6. Do you happen to have the part # for the 2011 wiring harness used for the trailer lighting circuit? My local dealer can't find a proper part # from the factory. I was sure I couldn't be the first one wanng this.
  7. I'm thinking of going this route for its cost effectiveness and the fact I wouldn't have to wait, but am not quite sure the best way to run all of the wiring. Do you have any pics of your install and/or pointers?
  8. For those of you with a 2011 with a correct harness (wihtout trailer tow prep installed), please post the part# used. My dealer is having a hard time figuring this one out. We are apparently the first to do this in our area (really????). Thanks!
