I admit its cool to be able to watch a movie in the car, but it rarely gets used being that you can only do it in park. I go to the car sometimes at lunch and sit and watch, but have to be careful as I lose track of time! Now that the screen is enabled, my son wants me to throw it in park at every red light. sigh

I have an '09 SXT FWD in IL. My video was completely disabled in my REN MyGig. I took it to the dealer and asked the service guys to Starscan tool it and they did, making videos play while in park (which is legal in other states, but I guess IL says no video screen in the front seat, period?). Anyway, on a subsequent trip, I asked my accomodating service guys to see if they could make the video run while in motion. They were great to try, but told me if I had the upgraded MyGIG with nav, it could be done. But not on the non-nav REN model. Oh well, worth a try! ab

Hi Jen. Nope, the opposite. I had purchased an '08 Jeep Patriot Limited which leaked water from the sunroof, dome lamps, and everyplace else. Chrysler offered me a replacement vehicle, and I chose the '09 Journey SXT FWD. Lemon Laws are pretty specific. If you live in IL you can use this link IL Lemon Law Chrysler was very good, and fast, about my replacement vehicle. I hesitate to call it a buy-back, as I believe that's when they buy your car back (with legal penalties, of course) and you can get one somewhere else. I had heard that process took a lot longer, and I wasn't up for any fights :-) Good Luck! ab

I am a new (today!) Journey owner as a result of a lemon-Jeep replacement. I will miss the mpg's I got with the Patriot, but really love the new Journey. Now, if I can just figure out why the video won't play in MyGig :-) Off to read the forum! AB

Do you notice any "clanking" of the hitch against the muffler? I had an '08 Jeep Patriot with an aftermarket hitch and that thing would clank and rattle and clunk, especially when I hit bumps or got it over 55mph. Thanks! ab
