  1. sound deadening seems right, and it is much quieter than the Caravan was, tks.
  2. averaging 25mpg,65=70 mph, take it easy acellerating though, 6 cyl.
  3. So I would be interested in an informed opinion as to the purpose of the removable engine cover, can't really see it as dirt protection, and would it not impair heat dissipation. One more kick at footwell lights always on with dash lights issue. Could someone confirm that their footwell lights are keyed to dash lights with no defeat switch. I have only seen one Journey on the road in my first two weeks driving here in Toronto. Interesting sensation. thanks all
  4. Pros- Well insulated for quiet highway driving smooth ride love storage and features zero problems, knock wood Cons,- no defeat switch- to turn of footwell lights at night - to to turn off interior lights with rear hatch raised -sutle hesitation in steering , direction change. -leans a bit in turns. had I to do it again I guess I would pony up for upgrade suspension. as it is I suppose I will put on slightly lower profile tires when i replace them and inquire about a retofit sway bar installation though probably to costly. very satisfied and consider it to be a great value vehicle. more later...
  5. My sxt, convenience 1, sunroof took 7 weeks from order date to delivery at dealer in toronto. One of these forum entries listed all of the build codes. Your dealer should provide your build code status which would give a more accurate delivery date. enjoy
  6. Yes, keep an accurate "paper trail" of problems indicated and dealer response. be persistant and eventually, you will get them resolved. Frustrating on a new car, but it happens. Been OK with mine for first week, though the second rows seats don't allign perfectly flat with backs down, but I will probably be the only one to ever notice it. Please tell me , do your footwell lights stay on at night or have you found a way to turn them off while driving at night. thanks.
  7. You can contact them prior to pick up of vehicle so long as you have your V.I.N.# which you can aquire from your dealer once build has commenced.
  8. Thanks Rob, I ordered mine March 4th and got it a week ago. I can only guess your extended delivery date is due to your "full package". You will be satisfied upon receipt though. I need one of you with one on the road though, to confirm there is no defeat switch for the footwell lights. thanks again
  9. Well, these lights seem to be keyed to the dash lights. I'm not used to looking at my passengers and my feet while driving at night. They dim and brighten as I adjust dash lights. Is there a turn off switch? thanks all.
  10. well its sitting in driveway with 17 kilometers on it. 12 year old daughter aproves. sound system is really nice, and handled highway well . WARNING! do not use windsheild washer when sun roof is opened, learned the hard way (daughter still laughing ). dealer gave me free locking nut for my wheels, free oil change, 40 dollar gas credit and a new watch...unexpectedly! COOL! The blank key insert, which fits into the key fob transmitter is 27 dollars at the parts counter (cut). i got one to hide in case of lock out. I'll mention again that if you call dodge customer care at 1-800-465-2001 they will mail you a 50 dollar mopar credit voucher. mine came today in the mail. more later...
  11. mine looks same as yours, agree looks like could use a piece of trim
  12. thanks, I put in an extra digit after the T by mistake.
  13. :shades: My Sandstone, SXT, convenience 1, sunroof arrived at dealer today, ordered on March 4th. V.I.N. # 3D4GG57V69T8194139. Dealer requested I have my insurer call them prior to pick up. Seems reasonable. Any thoughts on prep work I can do prior to pick up to expedite time spent at dealer on pick up day would be appreciated. Note: I called Chrysler Canada Customer Care at 1 800 465 2001 . They gave me a customer care # and advised they are there primarily for warranty issues. They currently mail out a $50 Mopar credit to any customer who contacts them, good for 3 months. I guess I'll pick up a couple air filters at a dealer parts counter some time this summer.
  14. I ordered my sandstone sxt, sunroof, convenience1 on March 4th. I checked at 6 week mark and build code status was klz ( pulled off line for random quality control inspection ). Dealer advised today it comes off line on April 17th and will ship via train X Mexico April 22nd. So I hope to pick up Sat. May 3rd. Side note; dealer provided VIN# which I have given to my insurer.
  15. so how far apart are oil changes recommended, thanks
