  1. Thanks for the impressions, that was helpful. Didn't realize the AWD came with its own performance suspension too. Cheers!
  2. Hi all,. Given this is the "Owners Impressions" Forum, I was hoping that those with the Touring or Performance suspensions could share your on-road impressions of the DJ ride and handling characteristics. For US models, the Touring suspension is found on the Crew ('13 and maybe earlier) or Limited ('14), while the Performance version can be found on the R/T. Not sure what Canadian models these suspensions are found on. Family is considering moving to a Journey late next year. Will certainly test drive each setup, but its always good to hear opinion from owners who have lived with the thing for awhile and encountered different road conditions. What I'm curious about is if folks with the Performance think it's is harsh on bad roads but handles well, just right, softer than expected, etc. Similar for Touring but if steering is too vague/numb on center, well weighted, a lot of body roll when going around corners, etc. Likes or dislikes are fine too. Thanks
  3. The AWD system for the Journey is a "Borg Warner" Interactive Torque Management (ITM 3e) system, which is used in other AWD vehicles, like Hyundai Santa Fe, Tuscon, etc. The Mercedes tie in you maybe thinking of is the Borg Warner 44-40 4WD transfer case. It was used on Chrysler's L body platforms like the 300, Charger, etc and is related to the BW 44-09 used in multiple Mercedes 4WD systems.
  4. Congrats on your new Crew! Looks great. I see it came with the Chrome Clad wheels too. Lux models (US) come standard with those but are options on the Crew. Really like the Mango Tango - another member got a Mainstreet in that color with the white/balck interior and the pics look good. Haven't seen one in person yet.
  5. Looks great mainMango! First time I've seen the 4.3 UC Touch too. Agree the white/black contrast interior looks good - the pearl / black leather interiors on the Lux's seem to be the best looking of the leather interiors. What are your thoughts on the meaner front fascia's? I see your mainstreet has the new one - they look good in photos, how about in real life?
  6. I did a good bit of research on these Bluetooth speaker phones recently, so here's my suggestions. I ended up getting the Motorola T325, since I didn't need that many voice command / audio streaming features. These are all visor-clip type speaker phones that automatically pair with your phone, can download address books, and provide some type of voice commanding: If you want something that is towards the top-end ($70 - $100) and voice command/recognition is a top priority, then the Blueant S4 is your best bet If you want a speaker-phone that can also be pumped into the car's stereo/speakers (via an FM transmitter) for better audio streaming quality, then either the Motorola T505 or the Motorola Roadster are good bets. If you want lower-end unit ($30-$45 range) with the basic functions, then I think the T325 is the best bet - has worked well for me so far. The volume buttons aren't in the best place, but other than that it's solid. The biggest thing to do is check the support web-pages before settling on one and make sure the vendor has tested your cell-phone model with the Bluetooth Speaker-phone. Some also have levels of compatibility ratings. Cheers and congrats on the 2011 Journey
