  1. Hi folks. I have been reading your posts on the Weather Tech vent visors and some are having problems with the back window ones slipping out when the window is open and the car is moving. I have the same set with no problems. What needs to be done, is to trim a very small amount off both the front lip and the back lip until you get them to slip in place without any pressure. They should slide right up without any force the same as the front ones. Don't take too much off. Just a little at a time with a dremmel tool and keep trying them until you get it just right. Then when you apply the tape, they will stay in place with the window open at speed. No problem. Another tip is to get the thicker 3m two way tape and use it in place of the tape provided from Weather Tech. If you do this along with a little trimming, they will stay in place and you can drive with the windows down all day. Hope this helps.
  2. I just had the dealer install the factory hitch on my 2011 journey crew. they did an awesom job. pics are on the journey forum main page as i just uploaded them today. It's the Mango Tango Orange Journey. Shows the hitch and new Weather Tech window vent shades. The 2011`s have LED lights and there is a software update that has to be done before the power gets supplied to the plug. Make sure they do that. Good luck. I love mine.
  3. 2011 SXT Crew: Bought @ Kingston Dodge Chrysler. I live in Lansdowne. Mango Tango Orange. Love it so far. Have added front bug deflector, Fr & Rr mud guards, Weather Tech window vents, and the hidden hitch from the Dealer. It has lots of power and price wise it was way ahead of anything else that was similarly equiped. I had a 1993 jeep cherokee that was just under $29K when new and the new journey was just around $30K so I think that was very good considering it was almost 19 years since I bought the jeep. The Journey is 100 times the vehicle the jeep ever was. Even when it was brand new, it was never like the journey. I lived with the jeep for 19 years almost. I think they will burry me in this one. LOL
  4. My 2011 Journey SXT CREW has the rubber strip already added just in front of the air inlet. I was wondering why it was there, as I felt it would interfear with cold air getting into the engine. But now I understand why they have done that. What I can't figure out, is why for years now, we have had air intakes in the front of our vehicles and all of a sudden, we are now getting snow in them. Maybe Dodge should place the inlet beneath the bumper rather then up high and that would perhaps stop the snow from working it's way up into the filter. Back in the 60's and 70's, some hi performance cars had the intakes placed below the bumpers. Kind of a ram air effect. But cars had shaker hoods also back then & I don't ever remember people having problems with snow getting in. But of course, we didn't have FORUMS then either.
