When I was shopping for my 2011 journey my dealer told me the same thing, that Chrysler had lost a supplier and was having issue with getting remote starters. I ended up buying the crew model which already came with the starter in the package. In reality if your looking at the sxt with the convenience I package because of the starter you might as well spend an extra 1000$ and upgrade to the crew. It not only comes with the starter, but also includes, 19 wheels, hearted seats, dual climate control, electric seats, DVD, USB, Aux, memory card slot, satellite radio and 8.4 media screen. Small price to pay for all those extras. Hope this helped.

Hi everyone, I just wanted to share some info with anyone planning to buy a 2011 journey or any other Dodge for that matter. The deal is if you or a family member works for RBC you get any Dodge for invoice plus +25$. They don't promo it. I ever told my dealer representative that my wife worked at RBC and he never mentioned the promo. He only admit it to me once I asked him point blank " Does RBC not have a deal for it's employees.". That's when I finally got him to talk about. Well the rest is history. I picked up my Deep Cherry Crew on Thursday and it's a beauty. Hope this info helps someone save a few bucks.
