  1. I live out past Oshawa so it would be a bit of a drive for you
  2. I have the very same issue with my Journey happens most times at the pumps up here in Canada. The odd thing is, when i drove down to Boston, we filled up along the I90 and it didn't happen there. I found the pipe fit better into the hole on those pumps and it didn't cause it to shut off early.
  3. After going in for the 3rd time to have this issue looked at, my dealer put all new pads on under warranty, so far, so good (knock on wood). real test will come tomorrow when we drive the Journey into work, the problem happens a lot in stop and go traffic.... Will update later.
  4. Just about to hit the 13k mark on my Journey (3.6L Mango), and wanted to give a small update on my post from a few months back: 1) Fuel economy has gotten a lot better since my first road trip, sits around the 10.3L/100km most of the time as we do a lot of stop and go traffic driving in and out of Toronto each day. When i go for a long highway drive, I've had it down to a great 8.3L/100km! 2) I still find the time the Engine wants to shift gears to be odd to say the least. It's something I am more used to now, and most times i just gun it to get around the problem Getting onto the highway with the 3.6L is no issue at all 3) Had lots of issues with the 8.4 LCD panel and ipod playback, a lot of the features didn't work, and the ones that did, would stop after awhile. Thankfully to a post here, I was able to download and install a flash update myself which seems to (crosses fingers) corrected all the ipod issues I was having. 4) EVIC defaulting to MPH still happens even after the dealer said they did the flash upgrade, I have to go back in for another issue (more in a bit) so i will have them do it again..... 5) Bluetooth pairing has some issues from time to time. I'll get into the truck, and no matter what, my phone will not pair with the system (even though it is the favorite device and has worked fine before). I have to stop the car, turn it off and open the door, then close the door and start it up again then it will pair again, bit of a pain in the butt, thankfully doesn't happen all that often. 6) The major problem I am having right now is the breaks. Since about the 2k mark, our breaks have been making one hell of a noise. I've had it looked at twice by the dealer, and each time they say there is nothing wrong, could be dirt they say. As of today, its getting a lot worse, going back in tomorrow to have it looked at. It seems to be coming from the driver front wheel, that wheel is super hot after driving and has a lot more build up on the rim then the other wheels have. 7) We had problem at the start with our ABS, it would cut out, warning lights for it and traction control would come on. Had it looked at twice, finally they found that the seal around the ABS module wasn't there, no seal at all, so water and dirt got into the area and shorted it out. That was fixed and was never an issue again.
  5. I was starting to think it was a stuck calliper as well. I read online somewhere to check to see if there was a ton of heat coming off any of the wheels more so then others once you have driven for awhile. I checked on mine and the left front was super hot, the other three were ok.
  6. Started following them on FB as well. Just checked and my Journey can be upgraded as well, will do it tomorrow, bit late tonight to start that lol.
  7. Went in for my first oil change and tire rotation, told them about the EVIC issue and they said there was a fix for it, and they'd install it under warranty. After i left the dealer, i checked, and it still defaults to MPH
  8. 9000km on my Journey and mine do the same thing as well from time to time. I had the dealer look at it, they said they couldn't see anything wrong. It pisses my wife off more then me, but as I am due for an oil change, I will have them look at breakes again and report back
  9. Normally I sit in a lot of stop and go traffic every day for at least an hour and a half both ways, i've been up around 13-14L/100km during this, but when going at good speed without having to stop or slow down (long trips) it drops down really low.
  10. In total the full trip was 1806km, we just have 7500km in total now on the Journey I've never used the manual shift thing before, can you switch in and out of it on the fly?
  11. Can't pair a new Bluetooth device either when driving. My wife tried to pair my iPod touch via Bluetooth, couldn't while driving..
  12. Ya that happens to my wife's 3rd Gen Nano. My 2nd gen Ipod Touch the shuffle feature turns on off at random, really pisses me off at times lol. Would love for a fix to come out for all the ipod issues.
  13. My wife and I took our 2011 Crew on it's first big road test, Toronto to Boston and back. By the time we got home, 7500km in total on the Journey. From the trip, I can say its much better on gas then I though it would be for a 3.6L V6. Took a tank and about a half to get to Boston, full tank showing DTE of 750km in total, with a 8.5L/100km rating. The ride was super smooth. One thing I found was that the cruise control and any sort of hill don't play well together. Where as my 2004 Honda accord we took last year wouldn't drop in speed hardly at all, the Journey when it hit a hill while the cruise was on would slow down 3-4 KPH and then shift hard to speed back up. When needing to pass on the interstate, it was much nicer to have the extra power to blow past slowpokes All in all, a very good drive.
  14. Just drove my 2011 crew from Toronto to Boston in back, in total, we have 7500km on it so far. By the time I reached Boston, my EVIC was showing a great 8.5L/100km
  15. So those tires you got fit onto the 225/55/19 rims?
  16. That is highway driving. City driving bumps that up a fair bit.
  17. Oh thank goodness lol. I will be sure to check into this when I go in for an oil change.
  18. does your EVIC show your tire pressure in KPA as well? I had to do some math to figure out what 255 was in psi lol
  19. Good to know there is a software update out already, when I go for my first oil change next month (around the 5000 km mark as well) I'll ask for the same thing.
  20. Coming up on one month since we picked up our 2011 Crew, just passed 2300 km on it. So far so good besides the major ABS problem I had at the start which turned out to be a defect from factory (they didn't seal the ABS Module so water, salt, everything as kicking back up and shorted it out). Ride has been very smooth on the 19' tires that come on the Crew. Gas Mileage so far has been ok, EVIC showing 10.3L/100km right now. All the toys on the inside are working great, no big problems to report with the Uconnect system besides the IPOD issue reported elsewhere here. All in all for my first domestic, have to say i am very happy. Next month will be telling as we'll drive down to the Boston area so that will be the first big road trip
  21. I will keep this in mind for next winter
  22. I have a 2nd Gen Ipod Touch, everything works but no playlists for me as well. Art is there, even podcasts work great, not having the ability to load my playlists is a major pain in the butt though as others have stated. Come on Dodge fix this up would ya.
  23. The story continues. So after I was in once for the rear ABS sensor and it failed as soon as the tech drove it out, they replaced it again, all was fine for a week until yesterday when the warning lights came bac on again. We left home this morning, warning lights still on, came to a stop down the street, heard a grinding noise and the lights went off..... Got onto the highway drive for about 30mins when the truck kind of jerked a tiny bit like it was slowing down (didn't touch the breaks) and the warning lights came back on Off to the dealership again tonight to have it looked at once again.
  24. My wife and I picked up our Mango Tango 2011 crew 3 weeks ago. It's funny how many people stop and stare at it because of the Color lol. We love it so far but we've had a major problem with our ABS, had the journey 3 weeks, this will be its 4th time in the shop for problems with the ABS.
