  1. Sorry to hear of all the issues.

I too have suffered the brake issue, Front brakes have been replaced twince by Chrysler, and the rear have been replaced twince, once by Chrysler and once by me. After replaceing the rear brakes myself, I am lesss then thrilled with the design of the rear brakes. I will tell you that I will not buy anouther Journey, these brakes just plain suck and nothing has been done to fix the issue.

My Journey has 24,000 miles at this point.

Other then that, I have been more then happy with my Journey, I love the ride, power and room for our twin boys and all their stuff that needs to carted around. And I love the look of the Journey....Almost three years that I have had mine and she still looks damn good! People can;t belive me when I tell them it is a 2009.

  2. I know what you mean. I've done front's twice and rears once with all new rotors and ceramic pads at 30,000 miles. This last time after doing the brakes, I developed a shake, at highway speeds only, when applying the brakes lightly. My first thought was rotors, but since I did the work myself and know the new rotors got a finish cut, they should have been OK. Went to the tire shop and had them balance the tires and that seemed to fix the problem! Sounds weird, I know, but maybe look at tire balancing if you know the new brakes were done right. I have an 09 R/T with the 19 inch rims.

I may have them check that. Thanks for the input! :woohoo:

  3. Well, just had the front brakes done ...again 19k miles! New rotors and pads, hopfuly they will last a bit longer then 10k. So the new brakes fixed the steering whel shake and all was smooth for a few weeks and now the back are making a hard viberation at high speed! I had the rear brakes done at 3600 miles.....

I sware this thing and brakes!!!

  4. Welcome to the site!

As for sluggishness, if you are just above 60mph, the trans will only drop to 4th, so it takes some time to get it moving. However doing ablut 55mph and smash the gas and it will jump into 3rd and really get moving! Just a tid bit also if your car has the ESP, truning it off will let the engine rev a bit higher and it feels more powerfull.

Not sure what radio you have, however if you have a MyGig unite, you purchase a LockPick box that will give you the option to play DVD's while the car is moving. It also opens up other hidden features.

I have note tried the option just yet, but I am once iahve some extra money to do so.
