  1. Just another update on this never ending topic. After I had my R03 recall performed, I tried to program and new spare key and to my amazement you are no longer able to perform this procedure yourself. I assume this has something to do with the new Win Module. I'm searching for the reason, but have not received any answers yet....I'll keep you posted.

Just had mine done, and gave them all three keys, but they failed to program our spare/emergency key, and I tried to do it per the manual, and it looks like they took that capability away from the vehicle owner, so I'm haveing to go back and get them to do it.

  2. The factory harness that came with my Journey does not use a t-connector or pull power from the fuew/battery. It connects between the wiring harness and lamps, and has the noise relayes. I wish I had bought he solid state version, as it would be quieter when I lock/un-lock the vehicle.

  3. Even Journey's equipped with the towing package, the wiring harness is in a bag in the back for the end user to install, and no it doesn't connect to a 8 wire plug, it's a relay version of the solid state aftermarket units that connect to the tail lights!

  4. Just completed 500+ miles of towing the RZR with the Journey again, and I averaged 15.2 MPG in heavy winds, and 16.8 MPG in normal wind.

I did have to drive almost exclusively in 5th gear, as in "D" it would not keep the torque converter locked up in 6th, and I did not want to burn up the tranny.

  5. Sounds like another one of those laws enacted by someone who doesn't properly use their lights. You are supoised to NOT be running High Beams when there is on coming traffic, or vehicles in front of you. So the Fog Lights on at the same time would not be a hazard.

My 3500 Pickup I bought used has been I believe re-programmed (per reading other forums) by a dealer to let them remain on when the High Beam is on.

In reality, with the amount of traffic these days, I hardly ever get to even run any of my vehicles with the High Beams.

Here is my Journey's MPG. The29 MPG was just a few local miles, and the 10 MPG was a few miles in heavy town traffic. My 19K mile average is 21.44.

Prior to the 8,000 mile mark I was using 89 and 90 octane, since then 97 octane. Most of the 89 mand higher octane here is 87 with a higher blend of ethanol, which is not as fuel efficient as gas.

  7. On my Trip to and From FL I got 23.6 MPG (>1,700 miles). :fool: Not what I'd hoped. I can normally always beat the EPA ratings, but not in this vehicle. The Wife's Patriot with th3 4cyl gets 27+ on a similar trip.
