  1. I live in northern california and really have no need for winter tires but I really want to take my kids up to the snow next week and found in my manual that I shouldn't use chains or cables on my '09 Journey R/T. I am not sure what to do now because I don't want to go out and spend $1000 just to go up to Nevada for the weekend. Any suggestions??? Any other time I've gone to the snow I just threw some chains on my Honda and went, I didn't realize that would be a problem with this car. Thanks, JP
  2. I've also had problems with my brakes, replaced my first set of front pads at 16,000 miles and first set of rear pads at 25,000. Now it sounds like the front ones are starting to squeak again and I feel jipped by dodge and there "it's your driving style" bs... I have never had to replace brakes at 25,000 miles let alone 16,000 miles dodge needs to own up to the brake issue and stop passing the buck. My style of braking is stopping when necessary; if that's a problem for dodge then they should get out of the business of making family vehicles.
  3. Mine just went out, I have 30,000 miles. Hope it's not too expensive, seems like everything goes out on this car prematurely, too bad because I love it! JP
