    Thanks for the info. I have not tackled the project yet, but does the chrome portion of the grill separate from the black background piece? Dave.

    How difficult was it to remove the grill for painting? Did you prep the chrome first or just spray away? Thanks in advance. Dave.

    Mark, Thanks for the ideas with this issue. I am too cheap to buy the MOPAR sill guards at this time, therefore I used the black body tape idea. Overall an easy installation, but getting all of the air bubbles out was not easy. NO retail Auto Parts store around here sells the 3M Protective Film and I did not want to wait for an order. Has anyone else found after market door sill guards yet? By the way, I have had my Journey for a little over a week and love it! Thanks, Dave Holland, MI
