  1. 2010 Journey R/T with the 6 CD changer system, U-connect and built in Navigation (all one control unit). Just recently, the CDs won't read. After a min or so, it says "Bad disk" and asks if I want to eject. I can load and unload all 6 CDs, and have tried changing CDs in case there were physical problems with the CDs themselves- nothing works. From time to time, it will start to read one of the discs, and play the song, but after a few seconds, it will stop, and go through the "bad disk" scenario. I'm thinking a bad laser head, or dirty. But, as I understand, these "CD cleaners" are just bogus, and don't work. Anyone have any other thoughts? I've had multiple CD players in 3 of my cars over the past 12 years, and this is the first one with this issue. We have 85,000 km and bought the extended warranty, but I suspect it does not cover this issue?
  2. You guessed it! That's the reason for the voice training. The system could not understand my wife's voice (had no problem with mine) until she did the training. It's fine now.
  3. Love my brand new Journey R/T. Got it with Navigation package, so it has the screen on the top of the dash. But, I tell ya'.. without touchscreen, the data entry is a PAIN! To enter a location, you gotta spin through all the text with that silly knob.. man alive. When you're used to a GPS touch screen.. the dial is a real chore. So.. Anyone know if you can import POI (points of interest) into the unit? Also... anyone know if you can override the "Safety" feature that prevents you from entering destinations while in motion? I cannot believe (maybe I am doing it wrong!) that you cannot enter a waypoint while you are driving. Or, even search for a gas station, or hotel while the car is in motion. A little window pops up telling me I cannot use that feature while the vehicle is in motion... argh. Yet, I can scroll through all the other toys on the screen while in motion... Also.. on a funny side note.. what do you call your Journey? We used to have a car (Fusion).. and a Mini Van, so we would say.. I'm taking the car, or I am taking the van. Not sure what to call the Journey.. other than "journey" :P Truck doesn't seem right. Van isn't right... SU-Van seems ok Thoughts?
