  1. hi there, after extensive conversations with chrysler customer service, i have got an answer, they tell me, thru my dealer, that the computer has to have a software change that will recognize and adjust for the smaller spare tire. until this is done, they recommended getting a tow job if i have a flat tire, and not to drive on the spare. since then i have traded it in on a jeep commander, i drive too many miles per day, on secluded stretches of valley roads where there is no cell service. i have to be able to change a flat tire myself and drive up to 50 miles before i can get to a town to have it fixed. talk to your dealer
  2. hi there, i had a flat tire on my journey as well, 19" tires, did you use the spare tire.... how did the car handle with the spare on? mine went crazy the engine light came on, the awd light was flashing, i had to get it towed.... our dealer had 19" tires on hand thankfully. i asked about changing to 17" and it is ok to do that but some computer setting for the transmission has to be reset to reflect the difference you will have in rpm's.
  3. The bridgestone BLIZZAK tire will fit your journey $400 per tire...ouch

    Where do you live?

Whitewood, Saskatchewan, 2010 R/T, drive 150 km every day thru 3 valleys, handles great thru the snow, ice, slush.
  6. Hi Terry, i bought my journey in whitewood, they have been excellent, they have been phoning me weekly with updates on my complaint, the last i heard, chrysler was taking a new journey to the test track to check out my specific problem. until then, my husband has purchased a tire puncture seal kit, that works with a portable air compressor. as you know, in rural saskatchewan, you may have to wait hours for road side assistance, i drive 150 km per day, and i am on the road at 5:30 AM. i drive through 3 valleys to work and back every day, i really am impressed with how the journey handles the snow, slush and ice. ( are you putting winter tires on your journey? ) eola
  7. I recently had a flat tire on my 2010 R/T. put on the spare, turned off the antislip feature, tried to drive, had trouble keeping it on the highway at 30 Km per hour, awd light came on, engine light came on, could smell oil burning(oil was leaking ont exhaust), called road side assistance and they suggested a tow, we did that, and now chrysler is investigating. just wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem. otherwise, i have driven through slush, snow and ice (all at the same time) and love how it handled.
  8. Hi i am a new dodge journey owner. i have a 2010 R/T. It has 19 inch tires, I had a flat tire recently, put on the spare, turned off the anti slip feature, and couldn't seem to keep it on the road. was going about 30 km per hour, oil started leaking onto the exhaust, engine light came on, AWD light came on, pulled over called road side assistance, they recommended a tow, got a tow job, and now have a complaint into chrysler canada, they are investigating.
