i inherited 2012 journey sxt. had for about 6 years no problem. now has 133k on it. never had brake issues until recently. have changed brake components regularly. about 2 years ago i started hearing noises when applying brakes right after having them done. returned to shop several times with no solution. told me to drive it more as there was no visible issue. so i did. over the course of the next two years i had the brakes done 4 more times with the same complaint almost immediately. one time when i took it back to the shop one of the clips had disappeared. replaced it and that didn't fix the problem. a month ago i decided to take it to the dealership and had them replace brake pads, rotors etc. all hardware. the calipers were sticking but they released them and thought that would solve it. immediately started making a terrible screeching noise so i took it back. the clips had moved on the front. went ahead and replaced calipers and hoses. problem solved for one day. took back 3 more times in the last week with same issue. clips won't stay in place. making a squeeking when brakes applied. groaning the last 5mph before stopping. can anyone help?
