    the message is an algorithm based program that measures duty cycles, ( cold climates, short trips, stop and go traffic) will all shorten the time between oil changes.

    I think the 10000 km is merely a failsafe number that the industry uses.

    Very good to know, I have the same message on my car and it only has 5000 kms. on it. It has been cold. with only short trips to work in stop and go traffic. good thing I'm booked in for an oil change tomorrow.

    Me too, this is my 5th Chrysler also. I've had 2 Grand Caravan (1991 & 2000 Sport) plus a PT Cruiser convertible. Love the Jouney.

  4. Locking gas cap

    Well I got siphened last night so I am looking for an after market locking gas cap does anyone have one they are using on their Journey that they like or do not like. I have only found a couple online priced from 13 to 22 so any help would be great.

    Sorry to hear that. I use the Mopar one and it is well worth it. Probably the amount you lost would have paid fo the locking gas cap.

  5. Does anyone have a picture of kayaks on the Journey?

    I have a couple of 10 ft kayaks and I'm wandering what type of rack I should by,

    or if I should just use some foam blocks and some rope.

    I have two touring kayaks, one is 16' and one is 17' feet and I have 2 Malone Carriers attached to my factory bars. They work well, I should mention that I have a 2010 R/T AWD which has the crossmembers which were part of Customer Preferred Package 28X Convenience Group II.

    What country and state/province do you live in?

    Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada which is about 90 miles north of where the Montana, North Dakota borders meet Canada. White, fully loaded 2010 Journey R/T.

    Hi i am a new dodge journey owner. i have a 2010 R/T. It has 19 inch tires, I had a flat tire recently, put on the spare, turned off the anti slip feature, and couldn't seem to keep it on the road. was going about 30 km per hour, oil started leaking onto the exhaust, engine light came on, AWD light came on, pulled over called road side assistance, they recommended a tow, got a tow job, and now have a complaint into chrysler canada, they are investigating. Anyone have a similar problem?

    I have a very similiar car 2010 R/T Stone White,19" tires, sunroof, Nav system etc, Fortunately I have not had the problems you have described, I hope all work out for you. Who is your dealer? I live in Regina but my dealer is Indian Head Chrysler.
