The Dodge Journey (and its somewhat of a cousin, the Grand Caravan/Chrysler Town & Country) have their own heater core and condenser in the rear, and their own blend door actuator in the rear just below the right window.
You have to take out the 3rd row to remove the internal panel and behind that is the blower, condenser, and ducts to the overhead and foot vents.
Sadly, changing the actuator back there did nothing. The flow changes on its own back to foot vents after a while. So it has to be a software issue in the head unit or on another board somewhere.
