  1. 2017 dodge journey v6 36000 kms (no awd) To start, we've had "service park assist" message for about 2 months. Didn't think much of it, we don't use park assist. 2 weeks ago engine light came on for about 2 days then shut off. Checked code, read battery low voltage nothing else. (Cheaper OBD reader) Last Friday the vehicle was started in very cold weather using the remote start with the block heater plugged in. It sounded loud. It usually does in the cold (-30°). The vehicle ran its run time then shut off. About 2 minutes after shut off, we tried to start it inside the vehicle (as you would before leaving) and no start no crank. Lights, blower, radio, everything is on but no crank. We hear one click. And now the dash is saying "vehicle not in park", "ignition accessory on". Checked the battery (after many attempts at starting it with no charging) it's reading 11.6 volts. Tried boosting it with booster pack, also with power inverter style, and old school with cables and a second vehicle. No start, no crank, one click. Checked solenoid relay, seems to be fine. Checked 35amp starter fews next to it, seems to be fine. Used rad fan relay (matches starter solenoid relay) in place of starter solenoid relay. No start, no crank, one click. With ignition on in first position, tried rocking gear shifter back and fourth to see if it would "pop" it in park, nothing. Continues to say not in park. No start, no crank, one click. Tried starting in neutral. No start, no crank, one click. Unplugged both terminals of battery for 10 minutes. No start, no crank, one click. Debating jacking the vehicle up to see if the starter motor can be knocked and try to star it. Thinking it's possibly neutral saftey switch? Is there a way to reset or bypass the NSS to get it to a garage? Why would it Start the first time? Any tips, therories, advice would be greatly appreciated.
