  1. I've been having crank, no start issues with my 2009 3.5 Journey for a while and finally found a bad ground. I checked out fine when tested before but finally failed completely and shows no continuity. This is the location of the ground, theres 2 wires connected. It's not listed on the wiring diagram but from what I've been able to figure out its ground G105 and goes to the ABS module. I don't know how accurate that is though and they go into a bundle that runs under the air lines and tracing it has been a pain. Im hoping someone knows where it leads so I can check it from the other end and hopefully narrow down the problem.
  2. I have a 2009 Journey, 2WD 3.5L. It has had many parts replaced within the past year and was working fine with no issues until the timing belt broke. The belt braking caused bent valves and a broken crankshaft. It went to a proper mechanic and was repaired. After that repair it now goes into limp mode. When the battery is disconnected and reconnected it starts normally and drives perfectly until it is shut off then goes into limp mode again on restart. The mechanic had it for a total of 5 months with the last 2 being trying to find the source of the limp mode issue and believes its a module issue but cant narrow it down. There are no codes showing and this is a list of everything that has been replaced/repaired. TIPM Battery Battery cables Alternator Starter Spark plugs Camshaft sensor Crankshaft sensor Water pump Timing belt Crankshaft Engine gaskets Oil & filter Transmission fluid & filter Air filter Front axle (damaged when I hit a pothole) All of the wiring has been checked and minor things were fixed and no major ones were found.
