The trouble is that the Dodge/ Jeep/ Chrysler Advertising is Non existent in UK .....Apart from Jeep , no one knows who or what they are. Plus the range was let down by the high price & the abysmal sloppy plastic , low rent interior of the Caliber & Avenger. ( I happen to love mine , it just wipes clean with a damp cloth). The Journey is a much better option with better interiors & build quality---But they still dont advertise it!!

You have the same engine / gearbox combo as my old Jeep patriot. 2litre VW CRD witha Getrag 6 speeder. However rumour has it that the latest CRD Patriot w ill be fitted witha 2.2 Merc Benz Crd unit. It supposed to be a better option. Maybe they may fit this to the Journey eventually. The Loaner Journey I had was also CRD / 6 speed . OK it was a SE & never loaded , I found it had loads of power & the 6 speed was even better than the Patriot. Perhaps I'm more used to Chrysler / Jeep / Dodge than you ( owned 3 so far) but I dont have trouble with arm/footrest?? I think your dealer is telling you a load of bollocks about he oil---My dealer uses Mobil 1 Synthetic in Petrol & Diesel engines , there is no special mystery to it. ( I think the CRD is every 8.000 miles.) However when this unit is fitted in a Skoda or Audi the oil change is every 20,000 miles ( work that one out?) Dont go paying for special oil--cos there's no such thing!!!!

Hi there , I'm Brockworth , just down the road. Considering a Journey . Already had a Caliber, Patriot & now Avenger. Had a Journey loaner car for 3 days & loved it. Grandson said it was COOL!!

Hello folks & a quick hi from the UK. I'm an ex UK spec Caliber & Patriot owner & at the moment I have a 2.4 Avenger SXT Auto Uk spec. The Avenger has recently been back to the dealers for a paintwork defect to be recified & they gave me a 2litre CRD manual Journey as a loaner for 3 days . I was mightily impressed with the Journey & may now consider changing the Avenger. I can get a brand new 2.4 SE manual pretty cheap , but I would love to go for a CRD Sxt Auto But I may have to go Used to keep the £££££ down a bit. I'm going to look around the Forums & see what info I can glean!!...........Cheers ...Pete.
