I have been everywhere and nothing for Journey. Does Journey have the same wiring as Nitro, charger, or any other dode model? Also, what is the silver box under the driver seat. Amp?

Ok. So I did the trick with the video posts on the back of the REQ radio / dvd player. I got a ceiling monitor for $40 on eBay and ran the cables and it works fine. But I got (for free) a new head unit with bluetooth, dvd player, and built in navigation. So I can't find a install kit for my Journey SXt 2009. The new unit is not as wide as the OEM and I need a kit to install. Would also like a harness so I don't have to hook into the car wiring, but can't find either one anywhere. Can anyone tell me where to get? I'm in the US, know there are other countries on here. Please help. Thanks.

I have a 2009 Journey SXT with the REQ radio. I did what the post said and connected leads to pin 6 and 7. I hooked up a small tv from the house and everything worked great. I do like the factory look but the prices are ridiculous. Aftermarket hardware is much cheaper and has a better look and more features. I will be getting a rear monitor this weekend and a nice headunit with gps, bluetooth, dvd, and screen for about $250. Way cheaper than OEM. I have been online looking for instructions on mounting the video screen and the ones from the factory show you basically remove the entire interior to put in a bracket to hold a 8" screen. That's plain stupid. Does anyone know how to install a flip down monitor securely without me having to rip out the insides of my beloved Journey? Thanks.

New to the forum. Lots of good info here. I have a 2009 Journey SXT with the REQ radio. I have the uconnect buttons but it says not installed when i push them. What do I need to activate / install the feature and how much is it? I thought handsfree was a requirement now. Thanks.
