  1. Thanks for the response! I was planning on taking it into Dodge for some of the same reason I posted on here. I figure they work with Journeys more than anyone so I hope they may know or have seen the issues previously. Sounds like I need to reschedule to drop the car off for a diagnostic from Dodge.
  2. Thanks and thanks for the response! I bought the car from my BIL and he said he had just changed the spark plugs with the last few thousand miles (so perhaps around 185k mi or later). When the car started having issues he said he changed the spark plugs and that didn't seem to fix it. He then took it to a mechanic friend of his who changed all the lifters and rockers. He said his mechanic friend said it is probably a bad camshaft and he'd replace it for around $1000. I did some digging and saw a lot of references to cam shaft position sensors going bad but not a lot about the actual camshaft. I'm not ruling out the camshaft being the issue but figured I'd post on this forum to see if anyone had seem similar issues.
  3. 2014 Dodge Journey 3.6L V6 FWD 188k mi Check engine light and traction control light are on so I read the engine codes and got P0016 and P0369. Acceleration is very bad, especially on hills where there is essentially no acceleration at all. On the highway above ~55mph the whole car has a shake to it and as soon as you release the pedal the whole car sort of pulls back and fairly rapidly decelerates. Looking up the codes I found: P0016 - Crank/Cam Position Correlation – Bank 1 Sensor “A” P0369 - Camshaft Position Sensor 2 Circuit Intermittent Bank 1 My first thought was to change the camshaft position sensors and see if that solves the issues and if not try the crankshaft position sensor or maybe even take it to Dodge to have them troubleshoot (I was actually scheduled to take the car into Dodge for a diagnostic but the battery was dead the morning I was supposed to take it in so I had to change the battery). I thought I'd try here first and see if anyone has seen a similar issue. Thanks for reading and for any help!
