  1. thanks for the response. I went to the bluetooth list in the car and my phone did not show up on the list although I don't have the little phone icon either which makes me wonder if there's something wrong with uconnect......and the bluetooth list in my phone does not list the uconnect and I sat there waiting for at least 10 minutes. I wonder if there's a way to cold boot the whole uconnect system?
  2. So, I just bought a used 2012 Journey SXT and was excited to see the possibility of connecting my iPhone & (vintage) iPod through uConnect. So far, it appears to be a bust using the instructions in the owner guide. None of the mentioned options show up on my touchscreen menu and I'm really frustrated. I'm old but fairly tech savvy for my age but I keep hitting a stone wall. I tried to update the firmware for what I believe is a 4.2 or 4.2S uConnect but it seems that nothing is available. OK, I can live with the old version, I guess but why does it seem that nothing is available? I tried to pair my blue-tooth capable iPhone SE but nothing would connect so I put that aside for now and moved on to my iPod Classic 5th generation that would have to connect with the USB port in the center console and the 30 pin charging cord with USB connection. I connected the cords and my iPod was recognized because it started to charge and appeared to be playing but not through the speakers. When I tried to find the appropriate screen via the CD option, nothing showed on the screen other than the words that no Disc was present (no chit!!!).....there was no screen saying "choose source". Is uConnect useless? I seem to have a Sirius subscription of some sort so I know that part of things work. Any words of wisdom would be appreciated!!
