I'm going through this now. I had a bad rear wheel hub assembly and replaced with speed sensor (came with Moog hub). This fixed the grinding. My son's theory was that the computer was misinterpreting the dead rear sensor as locked and trying to engage the front wheels. I still have the Check AWD and Traction Control lights on, but the vehicle drives fine now. What did Dodge tell you btstrk?
