  1. OK finally found this site https://www.cars.com/research/dodge-journey-2012/specs/USC20DOS041A0/ which seems to suggest the R/T could haul 2,500lbs as standard so is the prep package just the wiring? None of the websites I have found so far even mention a tow pack under options for those model years.
  2. Thanks for the info. The 09 I'm looking at is actually $7,900 Canadian with 119,000km and a hitch The '12 is $8,900 with 132,000km and no visible hitch. Was the hitch an option across all trim levels?
  3. Hi, I am looking at a new to me vehicle, and the Dodge Journey R/T keeps coming up in my price range with the features I am looking for. Currently there are a handful of 2009 and 2012 DJ AWD R/Ts with <150,000kms in my area for around $10,000 CAD. But only the 09 has a trailer hitch installed. I have been trying to find out if the R/T in the 09-12 model range had the Trailer Prep Package as standard, or if it was an option. Can anyone tell me the answer to this? And if it was an option, how can I tell if it was fitted when I go to look at a vehicle that doesn't have a hitch already? Also I don't mind getting a hitch installed but have never had to do this before. Any idea how much to get a hitch put on a 2009/2012 R/T in Alberta?
