  1. My mechanic figured something out.. I believe he rewired something..i was so happy that he figured something out I didn't hear exactly what he said he did.. But he said that shouldn't happen anymore
  2. John /Horace.. No not on here if you look at Car Gurus it's flooded with dodge journey no start issue. Everyone is giving ideas on how to fix the issue... Some say it's the neutral safety switch.. Etc... But there are tons of the same complaints there... If there are no codes coming up you'll spend $$ trying to figure out the problem co. Puter/fuse box/safety switch... Who knows but it's definitely not the start!!! This issue happens to me like 4 times a year then it runs with no problem... Then Bam!!! Sad to get rid of it but I'm not dumping $$ into this nonsense
  3. So according to my husband he's says another possibility could be the fuse box or something related to the fuse box...
  4. Summer, but I then my mechanic has had several people with journeys come to the shop with the same problem. Of course you don't see journeys at gas pumps because people are getting them towed outta there.. There's an entire forum about this.. (Not on dodge forum). If you go to tube tons of videos are on their with people who have tricks on how they think they can start it.. My mechanic is willing to fix it but the part is about $1400.its the "brain" or computer of the car. A new one would be needed or reset by the dealer. "The dealers keep saying that's not it," (?) I've gone to 4 different dodge dealers. None knows wth is going on.. Alledgedly
  5. I've had all of my recalls done I've taken this car to the dealer on a flatbed several times.... No codes are coming up and about time they go to service the car it started for them.
  6. I have a 2010 Journey in the past 3 years this car has an issue with not starting. If you turn the car off to pump gas and try to cut it back on it won't start.. We've gotten into the habit of keeping the car running while we run errands so we won't be stranded. My mechanic says Dodge clearly knows what the problem is but won't acknowledge it due to the amount of money they would have to spend on recalls. Its not the starter, it's not the ignition, or key. I went in for the key recall!! This car starts whenever it feels like it. My car has 130,000 miles on it and it has no other issues but that. I wish dodge would rectify their customers issues because it seems like I'm not alone!!
