  1. I replaced the Force control solenoid. That cleared the P2807 code. No real change is symptoms.
  2. I wasn’t offended. Was a little confused about where all the warrantee talk came from. I appreciate everyone’s time and advice. Thanks all. Bill
  3. First rebuild, over two years ago. Second was under warrantee. it’s no longer under warrantee. if it was still under warrantee, I wouldn’t be asking for help? And I will never take anything back to that transmission shop, again. In addition to the second rebuild, a few month’s after it wouldn’t start. Starter wouldn’t turn. While pulling the starter, I found a ground cable not connected. A cable they failed to reconnect.
  4. I got transmission problems in my Dodge Journey. It shifts weird. Sometimes down shifts for no reason. transmission was completely rebuilt about a year ago. all I’ve done so far is make the fluid level is good. and check codes. P735 Gear 5 Incorrect Ratio P0732 Gear 2 Incorrect Ratio And P2807 Pressure Control Solenoid "G" I’m thinking pressure control solenoid may be causing the others. Am I on the right track? and thanks in advance.
  5. Well bummer. I had hoped some trick like maybe those plastic visors or something. And who the heck read the owners manual? Seriously. Thanks for you time and answers.
  6. I sometimes like to drive with the windows down. When I do, there’s this thump thump thump sound. It’s like being inside a drum. Roll them up, it goes away. Is there a way to stop this?
  7. 2012 Dodge Journey SXT 3.6 engine. symptoms when breaking it seems like the ABS is activating even under medium braking. Pedal jerks and vibrates. I took it to a shop that SAID they do ABS. they read codes then told me “You have to take it to a shop that does ABS.” ?? C0021-02 Booster C0020-16 ABS pump C0034-62 Right wheel speed (which I just replaced, ) P258b vacuum pump At least they only charged me $20. I recently replaced the rear calipers, screwed up and let the whole system drain of fluid. I’m thinking vacuum pump, because it seems like that would cause the other two codes. Any suggestions? Thanks.

  9. Ok, an update. Still not right. I got both front wheel sensors in. Replaced the ABS fuse. no ABS light, or skid light on dash big red BRAKE light is on symptoms now, when breaking it seems like the ABS is activating even under medium braking. Pedal jerks and vibrates. I’m thinking vacuum pump. And now, the two shops I called are swamped with people getting repairs, incase they have to evacuate fro Barry.
  10. That may explain the jerking when the ABS fuse is in.
  11. Thanks 2Late. I pulled the ABS fuse to eliminate the ABS from the equation. I believe everything is bled properly and in the right order. But that is one of my worries at the moment. I may wind up taking it to a shop, to be bled again, after I get the wheel sensors replaced.
  12. OK. long story. 2012, Journey SXT 6cyl, single piston front caliper, 104K miles. started getting ABS, Skid, and cruise wouldn’t turn on. Pedal was soft. Of course, I did no research. been a while since pads were replaced, they looked pretty thin, so I started with pads all around. while replacing pads, discovered frozen left rear caliper bracket. So it got two rear calipers with brackets. And since the pedal seemed soft, a nice new master cyl. Meanwhile, some research tells me, the original symptoms are screaming... “ABS Wheel sensor” A pair of front ones are on order. ABS fuse is pulled. Because the pedal kicks with it in. Right now my question is... During test drive, It brakes, but not well. Have to push hard on the pedal to get braking. Brake alarm is on. Vacuum booster test shows good. I understand it should brake normally with the ABS fuse pulled. My question is, is there something else I need to fix while I wait for the wheel sensors? Or is this normal with the ABS fuse pulled? And, I read somewhere, “If cruise control doesn’t work, it’s a front wheel speed sensor.” True or not? Thanks in Advanced. Bill
  13. False alarm. The actual problem was a bad connection on the main ground wire going to the connector. Just needed cleaning. figured this out by connecting the battery with booster cable to the hot and ground lugs in the firewall. Everything worked like that, had to be in the cables. connected the ground lead to the battery end of the ground cable, nothing. Connected above the connector on the cable. Everything worked. Had to be that connection. I spent seversl hours hunting a wire that ddn't exist.
  14. That green and red area is where it came off. There's a broken bolt in the center of it.
  15. The battery died. bought a new one replaced battery now the car is dead, no lights nowhere checked my work, meaning I pulled the battery back out. On the negative post I see where a fair size wire has broken it's bolt and broken off the cable end. two connectors remain, one with small black and white wires. one appears to be main ground lead here's the problem. I cant find this third wire. It's got to be dangling in there somewhere. if I knew where it comes from, that might help. Anybody know where? 2014 Dodge Journey 6 cyl thanks in advance.
