Hello, I was wondering if anyone can give me more info on the black plate in the picture. I have taken my 09 DODGE JOURNEY to the dealership multiple times for repairs in regards to starting failure. I have tap on the plate for it to start. Sometimes I have to unplug and replug the 1st insert. Any help on figuring out what this piece is is greatly appreciated. I did check the manual, but there is no info about it.

I too have the same issues, I am submitting a Consumer report through the Attorney General. I have had my started replaced and still the issue persisted. Afterwards I took it again and it was non-diagnostic and I was told they could not do anything about it. 

Has anyone had their dodge journey ignition s resolved to the point where it does not occur again? I used to only have this issue every once in a whilr but now it's an every day thing and when I take it to DODGE its non diagnostic and starts every time for them.
