  1. Well i figure this is a good time to start a Build Thread on the my 2009 Journey. Its not something that i planned on or really had intentions, but why not. I have always been more into the old school cars, Hot Rods and modern muscle cars. But thinks this year have been kinda ruff and with alot of changes. One of them, was the selling on 2 of my projects (simply time to move on to something new) I got my Journey last May and have to say-over all, All is good- Little things i am going to want to change ( that i didnt really care for orignally) pretty soon. So what is it that i do? Well i dont really have intentions on modifing the performance level at this time- other then a break up grade with Cross/Drill rotors and if i can, swap in Larger Dia Rotors. Simply want more bite and more life. Other then that at this time i would like to clean up the orignal journey (look) and customize some of the features that already exsist. I do, do paint and airbrushing so i ihave considered and been rolling around idea's with that. but am unsure at this time. blacktopinks.webs.com But all in all- it will be simply to make the journey more of my own and since I am with out other projects...I am boarded. LOL Of course this is not why i got the Journey, I got it to have something that I could move and groove with-lots of room flexible use and better gas millage then what i was in before. It was a sharp looking cross over that i just liked over all. Where to start.... Well The interior deff could use some help and something to give it more dimention as it is pretty simple and plain. Expeciallt the Center dash- I have since May, hated the grey plastic piece. The seats, drive me crazy with the spots...so deff gotta do something with that as well. Audio could use a boost (always can have more) Bigger Rims (i have lil 16" now) with bigger breaks and maybe some paint... This is what i did this Sat, DIY Billet Grilles with Upper Lower and Fog Light Sections Upgraded Xenon Bulbs HI/Lo and Fog and in the rain
  2. i just saw this thread and i am floored, since i have been feeling the same thing- each time 65mph it shakes like it going to blow up. oil changes are good and up to date (3000 on dot) air filter is good (less then 3000) tires balnced ( this is what i thought it was) and still no hope. although it is less then it was when first started. it is still there... it just drives me crazy with the shimmy feeling, i travel alot of highway for work so its like i am traped in the 65-70mph zone as a cruze. i went to the dealer once- the blamed it on brakes- all re-done and still it acurred, i was close to an oil change so i waited a week- brought it back in. They checked it out- did a throttle body cleaning (that i didnt approve yet try to charge me for) and didnt even change the oil ( i know so for sure). after a 30min talk with the manager- i left with my money and havent returned. Next closest dealer is not close at all- i will not return the dealer (above) and since my time frame in life is difficult, i have to deal with the pulsing front end... very fusterating. shimmy, brakes and water sensative seats are my only issues with the journey and its a shame...really. i will try this - gas / carbon theory but I cant see why a 43K motor is suffering from carbon build up
  3. were are you located and how much are you looking for?
  4. So was mine at 15,000 miles... The rear brakes had some problem were the Calibers were locking- dealership replaced the whole rear braking system. Of course I had to fight to get it at N/C because the warrenty is 12,000.... Well long story short- I am now with out fronts...I went back and they said well the fronts are your problem and will have to charge, yet if the rears were bad- that would mean the braking load was on the fronts causing them to fade faster...they looked at me like i was speak quantium or something... So part two of the fight, i dont get why they just didnt change the whole system instead of 1/2 @$$ =ing everything. Its a shame cause other then that, i am happy
  5. The Billet Grills I think are the nicest and hope to get mine soon as well
