Changing drl lights and fog light dropout for now

Well, jscan worked for my 2010 dodge journey. Figured I'd let you know

I only bought the one subscription for my truck. Don't want to pay the $35 if it don't work on the journey

More to add I was just curious because I used it on my 2019 ram 3500 to change light settings for my led lights and drl lights. From being on the truck forums alpha can do a lot more but you can also screw up a lot more if you don't pay attention. That's why I went with jscan. Supposedly more user friendly. That's why I am asking

Well the journey has about 150,000km and still has the factory viscous coupler. It still chatters around corners when it is hot but the oil leaks have not come back

Might as well follow up on this. Got a new vent put on the differential and that solved the oil leak. Still have not replaced the viscous coupler, but it seems to have been working alright

Haven't looked into since. And ours is doing the same with the heat

I know it needs a viscous coupler because it is full of gear oil. But I want to know why my rear diff is pressuring up causing the viscous coupler to fill up with oil. That is why I was asking about the vent. Until That problem is solved I don’t want to put a viscous coupler in. Because last spring when the problem started I put a new seal in and brake cleaned the inside of the viscous coupler (I know you are not supposed to do that) but I tried it since I knew i needed a new one any way and it worked until this summer when I noticed oil leaking again.

I did mention that when it was at the dealer last time and they said everything was good

Every time I do a oil change I check all my fluids and when I check the rear diff the fill plugs shoots across my garage

Because the rear diff keeps pressurizing up and blowing the pinion seal out which pushes oil into the viscous coupler. Then I start to get chattering in the rear end when turning. I have a topic down below about the chattering.

Got a 2010 Dodge Journey R/T. Was wondering if it is possible to change the vent with out dropping the diff.

That is what I am assuming is the problem with ours also. Especially after all the oil I found in there doing the pinion seal.

Shortly after I posted this it quit. But at the same time this was happening I had to replace the pinion seal which put quite a bit of oil in the viscus coupler. Cleaned it up put it back together with new oil in the differential and a few days later the shudder quit. Now a few days ago it started shuddering again. So to answer the question no I have not found out what the problem is. Both me and the wife just try not to pin it around the corners now.

Got a question. I have a 2010 journey r/t that when you turn an give it throttle it starts to shudder like when you have a locker in the rear end. But if you roll around corners it is fine. So my question is dose the viscous coupler on the rear end need power to engage or power to disengage. Thanks Mike
