2012 Journey front pad replacment

Help....I couldn't find anything in the forums on this. When changing the front pads, do the caliper pistons still just push back or are they like the rears and need a special tool? I have a late year 2012 with the bigger rotors and dual pistons. Thanks

Can anyone tell me how to find out what month my DJ was built. It's a 2012 DJ Crew and my front brakes need replaced but I don't know if it has the standard brakes or the bigger brakes they put on mid-year. The serial number is 3C4PDCDG2CT373740 Can I use this somehow to tell. The build sheet I looked at only tells what standard and options came on it.

Hello, just purchased a 2012 Journey Crew with 25,000 miles.I hope to learn a lot here and hope to get many miles on it. I'm an old timer so please bear with me as I go through this new learning process....LOL
