A top list of VIP automotive media and special guests enjoyed the first, exclusive look at the 2015 Alfa Romeo 4C Spider on Canadian soil this evening. The Spider Yellow vehicle, which was air-freighted in directly from Modena, Italy for this pre-autoshow event, was unveiled by Reid Bigland, Head of Alfa Romeo North America, at The Gooderham Lounge, Airship 37 in Toronto’s historic Distillery District. U.S. News & World Report has named the 2015 Ram 1500 the Best Full-size Truck for the Money. In the site's ranking of vehicle choices, Ram 1500 scored the highest among full-size pickups available to U.S. buyers. Tommy Johnson Jr. will start second in his new 2015 Mopar Dodge Charger R/T NHRA Funny Car body after wet weather washed out the final round of qualifying on Saturday at the season-opening 55th Annual NHRA Winternationals. Johnson will lead a field of five Mopar-powered Dodge Funny Cars into elimination rounds on Sunday at Auto Club Raceway. Chrysler Canada Inc., the Windsor, Ontario-based automaker, today announced that it has changed its company name to FCA Canada Inc. The name change is effective immediately and follows the naming convention of its global parent company, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles N.V. (FCA), which adopted its new name in October 2014 when it was listed on the New York Stock Exchange. View the full article

FCA Mexico today reported January total sales of 8,129 units, an increase of 11 percent versus January 2014. Chrysler brand sales improved 41 percent versus January 2014, marking its best January since 2009. Jeep® brand reported sales gains of 29 percent versus January 2014; best January since 2009. Chrysler Canada today announced its 62nd consecutive month of year-over-year sales growth, representing the longest sales streak in the Company’s history. January 2015 sales were 18,054 compared with 17,698 in January 2014, which represents a 2 per cent increase. View the full article

FCA US LLC, formerly Chrysler Group LLC, today reported preliminary full-year 2014 net income of $1.2 billion, including $1.2 billion of unfavorable infrequent items. The result compares with net income of $2.8 billion in 2013, when the Company realized a net favorable effect from infrequent items, including a benefit of $962 million related to the release of valuation allowances on deferred tax assets.
