  1. Would like to say that so far my navigation system / radio thingy has functioned properly on my 2015 DJXrd but have only had it a little over four months and with only 1990 miles on it. I/we like it very much as of this point in time of driving and owning.
  2. Final update (I hope) on this gassing up problem: took the DJ to my dealer who removed the original gas tank Filler Neck/Tube and replaced it with a new OEM replacement as the original was virtually blocked with unknown whatever and was bent/dented/flattened stopping it from letting the gas tank vent to allow gas to go into gas tank while gassing up. I went straight to a gas station and filled it up with no problems... even set the pump handle on auto fill and it didn't click stop until tank was filled, Amen!
  3. Another update: dealer service advisor said the mechanic determined my 2015 DJ has a bad 'filler neck' on the gas tank area and they ordered a replacement from either Tenn. / Ohio and it will take about ten days (?) to get to the dealer for replacement! So, that's what has been done thus far but the real deal will be to see if it takes gas normally after the replacement filler neck installation! Next update will be awhile...

    Bugs!

Here in sunny and hot Florida during the twice yearly 'love bug' invasion, I get swamped with thousands of paint ruining bug guts (I think their stomach acid is the real culprit) and the windshield at times so covered in the black bodied and winged bugs I have to stop and wash some away to see the road clearly (it is not a good idea to try using your windshield wipers and water/fluid to remove them while driving as that usually smears them and worsens the problem)! What I have used over the years to avoid paint damage from said 'love bugs' is cooking spray with whatever type oil that's in it (butter, olive oil, canola, etc.) and there are many brands. I clean the front of the vehicle then apply a somewhat moderate amount of the spray on the front area (avoiding the windshield and radiator fins and a lighter coat on the lights) but not so much that's it runs or drips. Usually when the bugs hit a lot of them slide off and some stick but they normally wash right off when I get to my destination. This is not intended to be advice on how to repell bugs or avoid paint damage on vehicles, it usually works for me... but might not work for others. Good quality wax, polishes and/or other applications probably work well and will most likely last longer as they usually don't wash away quickly.
  5. Update: Today I took the DJ to the dealer and dropped it off for them to investigate the gassing up problem I've had since purchase. I wasn't able to drop it off and leave it overnight or for a few days until now so that's the reason for such a long delay in getting the problem addressed (and fixed I surely hope). The first time I took it in it was 7/8 full and they wanted me to bring it back when it was about 1/2 full so the technician can try and duplicate the problem in order to try and fix it. Journeyman425 has been a great resource to many of us here on this forum/blog and I want to publicly thank him for his willingness to be of assistance! I will post an update on the results and findings of my gassing up problem as soon as I find out anything, have a good day all.
  6. Got my Daytime Running Lights activated today... thanks to: Journeyman425 for all the assistance!
  7. I don't see any 'flap' in my filler neck, I know what you are referring to but my 2015 does not have one... maybe that's what the problem is (they left the flap off or it was removed somehow by whomever?)
  8. Thanks for the responses, will try and negotiate price with dealer, if need be... I'm willing to pay a reasonable price for services rendered.
  9. Does anyone have an estimate and/or cost for the dealer to activate (however it's done: flash the computer or do a vehicle restoration, etc.) for the DRL code to work, please let me know thanks!
  10. Mine shows full after gassing up but it takes about four times as long and the nozzle clicks off many many times before it it gets full, dealer wants me to bring it in when it only has about a half tank full so they can duplicate the problem and go from there!
  11. Haven't returned to dealer with gassing up issue as yet... medical issues over ride leaving vehicle in shop for day or two as of yet but have just been turning gas nozzle to different angles and 'slow' go pumping gas still. Will definetly post results when done, thanks.
  12. Well... have to take the DJ back to dealer when the fuel level gets to a half a tank, took it in with over 3/4 tank and they won't try to duplicate the issue with that much fuel in the tank. I have problems with the fuel nozzle clicking off at virtually any level of fuel in the tank but I will take it back shortly as advised.
  13. Don't know if any changes were made to the gas tank and/or associated items from the 2014 DJ models so should not be an issue if 2014's are not doing it. I'm thinking somebody forgot to attach or mount or adjust something related to the venting of the tank (hose collapsed, damaged or missing, clamp too tight, bad connection or similar)?
  14. @lobitz68... It has happened at every gas station I've used thus far, I refill tank when it indicates half a tank of gas. Used about (4) different gas stations!
  15. Will post results when completed to let all know, may take it in later in the week, thanks. Be safe, wear seat belts always... they can and do save lives, we know first hand!
  16. Will be taking to dealer and demonstrate the problem to service manager for sure... I have no doubt they will fix it, but shouldn't be happening and was seeing if this is a new (2015) DJ issue just coming to the surface ?
  17. Wondering if anyone has same problem with gassing up their Dodge Journey? Every time I gas up I have to go super slow, just barely squeezing the handle lever on the gas pump hose or otherwise the pump hose keeps clicking off. Tried relocating hose nozzle deeper in filler neck, half way in and almost out of filler neck on DJ to no avail... keeps clicking off and have to restart fueling again, any ideas? It is a 2015 DJ Crossroad V6 just bought new less than 300 miles. I know it is covered under warranty and will be checked out and fixed by dealer, just would like to know if I'm the Lone Ranger with this issue, thanks.
  18. Hello all... Recently got a 2015 Crossroads model w/V6 and am learning about it, thought this would be a good place to keep informed about the Journey. Have a 2004 Liberty with 109,000. on it drive it daily still and it has the V6 automatic.
