  1. Well we just purchased a Stone White 2010 SXT with convience group1, 19" rims & 3rd row seating. My wife really likes the White.

Hopefully some of the known 2009 issues do not plague the 2010 models. I look forward to participating in this forum.

Welcome and hello from Port Coquitlam!

  2. Hey all,

I have had my Journey for several months now and for the third time in about a month my Uconnect is not connecting to my iPhone. The first two times this happened it connected itself to my phone the very next time I got in my car and started it but this time no such luck. Any ideas?

No battery issues, the Uconnect still lists my stored numbers, etc.

Un-connected and closing in on 2010 (ie: new driving regulations for BC residents = no hands on phone).

  3. You should have some conversations with others that didn't trust seat belts as you say. I think they may have some better advice for you rather than deactivating the alarm. That's only if they can still communicate or are alive! Just wear it, it may just save your life dude ;-D

  4. Would using a heat gun not bubble the finish of paint? I'd like to remove mine too but not at the cost of possible paint damage. Let me know.

FYI, I took off my dealer decal today with a heat gun set for 300 degrees and not damage or sign nearing any damage to the paint. Go at it, just use caution!

  5. I also have SXT FWD with 19" cast wheels and Kumhos. I have made several highway trips and have not noticed a shudder, but I will listen/feel for it next time I get it up to speed.

I did note too how uncomfortable the seats on a long drive. I have to stop and stretch my right leg every couple of hours. I miss my old Caravan seats - my trick knee would lock up occasionally, but not my whole leg - Phil

    Hey Phil,

Just thought I'd give you my two cents... when I first started to drive the new Journey I was noticing some leg numbness too but kept playing with the seat adjustments. It has taken about a week to figure out the best spot for each part of the seat but now I have a completely comfortable ride.

I found the most important adjustment was the front portion of the electric toggle. When you move it up and down it adjusts the tilt of the seat. I found it was this that was cutting off my circulation and now all is good and I'll be making babies for the 5 open seats in no time! :censored:

Just a thought, I hope it helps. :talkhand:

  6. Port Coquitlam (45 minutes east of Vancouver), BC Canada :D

Have had the Journey for about two weeks now and love it!

We had bought 4 vehicles from Maple Ridge Chrysler but when they tried to bait and switch us :redcard: this time around we told them where to go and walked out of negotiations. Ended up trading in my 2005 PT Cruiser at Coquitlam Chrysler and got a better Journey (SXT rather than an SE) than we would have from the crooks across the river.

  7. You can use a heat gun. Get it nice and warm and it should pop off. It is attached with double sided tape. If there is some tape left on the body use some 3M adheasive remover to get the rest off. That is how I did mine. Or you could use fishing line and saw the tape off. But then you have more of the tape still on the body and will require more work.

Would using a heat gun not bubble the finish of paint? I'd like to remove mine too but not at the cost of possible paint damage. Let me know.
