You may have to end up replacing both, unless there is way to determine obvious damage upon visual inspection once they are removed. I can get you the service info, but you are looking at a major amount of work to replace the sending units/modules. The muffler and prop shaft have to be removed, then tank removal, sensor removal etc. A couple of special tools are also required. You are probably looking at $250-$300 for parts. I would look into seeing if your vehicle insurance will cover the repair at a Dodge service shop (it should). I would have the tank replaced as well if covered by insurance (~$800 in parts).
So from what I'm gathering here is that the fuel pump is accessible from the backseat, however, the sending units are not accessible from the backseat, and the tank must be dropped.
If you could send me the service info that would be great. The more I know about this car the better leverage I have with the insurance company. Before this, They sent me to a gmc dealer to get a quote and they said .30 hrs to replace the sending unit.. Which is bs; they put the sending unit for a 2.4.. Not a 3.6 AWD.

There are more than one sending units? The car is reading from full to 3/4.. it will not go below 3/4. How would I figure out which one is bad? I might need to buy the $135 manual from Dodge.

Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum... I've had the '13 Journey SXT AWD for a year and a half now, and I've had zero problems.. Until my sister ran over a truck tire and the tire hit the fuel tank and now the fuel gauge only reads above 3/4 tank. The tank is slightly pushed up, I sent the car to a body shop and they said the tank does not need to be replaced just the sending unit needs to be replaced. My question is, can I access the sending unit from an access door inside the car somewhere? On my caliber, there is an access panel underneath the back seat. So before I tear out the interior on the journey, I'd like to know if anything is actually there.

I just had the seal on the transfer case around the output shaft replaced because It was leaking.. I really hope that was the only bad seal. I'll have to keep an eye on it. I saw oil residue all over the crossmember when I was changing the oil..
