do you have any ideas

hello
for the past couple of weeks, i have had problems with starting my 2011 journey v6 when its cold, it cranks over, and tries to fire but takes a long time, when it starts to fire, it coughs and splutters, and eventually starts, i have been reading that it could be the IAC valve which i believe acts like a choke, is this correct?
i don't think it would be the spark plugs, but i'm no mechanic.
any ideas would be great
thanks

where behind the radio somewhere? i did get a bit pissed with it today and hit the dash by the radio and it came back on so im thinking a loose connection somewhere now.
-
so i have done the above and its still doing the same thing
-
thank you i will try that, will i loose anything being disconnected for that time
-
im hoping someone could help me out, im have problems with my radio shutting off, screen going blank and then the heat blows at full heat at full speed, has anyone else has this problem, if so what was it, my warranty has expired for some time now, and i would like to try and understand what is going on so i can try and fix it, rather than paying the dealer a big figure.
i have a 2011 journey with the small screen
any help would be great
thanks

my putco fog lights bulbs look great and match my HID head light bulbs
-
Did you put them in yourself? I ordered a set of H16, as I did some reading on some other forums and this seems to be the "correct" replacement for the Dodge fog bulbs, not 5202 (as seems to be quoted by every company I can find). I didn't get a chance to try these yet, but I will be doing it this week if the weather cooperates. A lot of the websites for bulbs quote many of these as interchangeable, but they're not. The keyed slots are in different spots, and they are VERY slightly different widths (probably in the 1/100s of an inch range) and you will break the housing or the bulb if you force them in.
If I find the exact match for this, I will post info on it.
This is taking a long time, but I will eventually figure it out. :P I need fog lighting (in AMBER) badly here, as we get fog in late summer so dense you can't see 50 feet in front of you. The stock lights aren't "fog" lights, they're driving lights, and worthless in dense fog.
P.S. - The HIDs I installed in my 9006 spots are a VAST improvement over the stock lighting. Who would have thought that blacking out the headlight casings (Blacktop edition) would cause a reduction in visible light? :P Oh, wait....
yes i put these in myself, only took about 10 minutes,

well i have given up on the option on installing my dvd head rest and im now looking at going to have a over head player, the OEM one is very expensive so im going to purchase a afte rmarket one, my question is this, has anyone ever done this, i hear it is possible to re-locate the rear head controls and use that space for the player, my other concern is i have a sun roof in my journey, and will this afect trying to put a player up i the roof.
would love to here from anyone who has done this

head rest back in and plugged in, looking for another source now, i will call my dodge dealer to see what can be done if anything, thank you Bigstr for that warning about blowing my head off
-
wow if i knew there was a airbag in it i would of thought twice about this,i didnt think it would be a problem swoping a head rest out, is there anyway around this or do i have to plug it back in and forget about it.
-
LOL just found that out, drove the car last night and was wondering why the hell i had a air bag light on, of all the cars i have had why the hell is the head rest to do with the air bag system, unless i can get over this i guess my kids ar not having their DVD players installed .
any ideas ?

yea i was hoping it could be something simple, its never been a problem before, it has always started very well, a friend of mine suggested a product called sea foam to put into the tank to clean everything, and to help with possible water in fuel etc, so might give that a go, if not, a trip to my local garage i guess.
would the computer throw anything up as a error do you think?
thanks
