hi,i have a 2009 journey sxt 3.5, i dont like the tranny and the mpg city is sucks like im only getting 10 to 13 mpg but hi-way is 26mpg at 65mph. after the flash do you notice better mpg? thanks

Cleaning the filter is impossible, you need to replace it. It is behind your glove box.

- Open the glove box completely.

- On each side you need to pull a stopper to the innner side.

- Open the glove box further, release the "wire" on the right center side

Now you will see the A/C vent unit, with on top the filter holder. Remove this, replace the filter and install backwards.

Very simple, 2 minutes work (first time maybe 10 minutes). You can also check your owners manual : Page 416.

I do not think that the filter is the issue....................................

hi, my sxt smells bad when a/c turn on for the first few minutes, the dealer cleaned the filter but it did come back after a month, how would I clean the a/c filter i want to know how to do it. thanks

for the howling sound in the exhaust is easy to fix only flat screw driver is what you need! crawl under the ca,r locate the heat shield ( at the back before the two exhaust , it's like a tube that cut into half lengthwise) insert the screw driver in the gap between the heatshield and the exhaust tube and widen all the gaps.thats it, folks.

Hi, just want to ask if you change the oil your self will void the warranty since thers no way the dealer could get any information if the car has been regularly oil change ? thanks

mjm48 sent me the tsb, for the look of it I think I can do it my self. I will try to fix it my self this week and I will post the outcome.

I dont think so, I tried to locked the car while I'm inside it didnt alarm. I have the same problem here last time when I pushed the unlocked button the alarm sound and after arround 5 min it stops. the alarm sounds aswell on its own twice since brandnew I dont know whats the cause.

I'm losing my patience now it's been 3 odd months now driving this shyt! why my dealer could not fix the vibrating sound from the exhaust? They have performed TSB for this but no success! I never buy brand you car from dodge anymore I have learned my lesson clear! Bullshyt!

On my Trip to and From FL I got 23.6 MPG (>1,700 miles). Not what I'd hoped. I can normally always beat the EPA ratings, but not in this vehicle. The Wife's Patriot with th3 4cyl gets 27+ on a similar trip.

my journey always get 25-29 mpg pure highway drive but city driving is crazy only 13mpg

mine, once I got 29.1 mpg. LA to san diego at 65mph cruise control 27.8mpg SXT 3.5v6

Took mine to the dealer and they mentioned a bulletin on a muffler bracket....guess they installed another bolt or something.

Dont know exaclty what they did but I dont get the rattle on cold starts any more.

they applied tsb for but the noise is still there. i dont know what to do anymore!

they replaced mine w/ new reservior now the noise is worst than before! they perform tsb for the exhaust but still I could heard the vibration a little!

same here they replaced the reservior , now they make it worst! anyone could tell us what to do with this? I think my dodge dealer could not fix this one!

yah! I been to the dealer and ask them to fix the noise from the exhaust but they could not fix it! what is really wrong with it so I can pin point to them?

how did they fix it? did they tighten it or replace the mufler? what is really wrong with the muffler? mine they could not fix the problem and they keep telling me they perform the tsb.

why ist's crap? bcoz the torque converter could not hold at high gear! example, mentain your sped at 65mph and wait untill you hit a road with slight uphill, when your already clibming up your speed will slow down a little so in order to mentain the speed "65mph" you have to step the gas a little isnt it? NO! this crap tranny simply could not hold the load,. when you step the gas you fill nothing and then saddnly it will down shift.

hi, I bought my journey last march 2009, I can hear odd noise when locking the wheel either left or right stand still, I also exprienced the grinding noise twice only when turning while driving. what is the exact length of the old power steering reservoir compared to the new one?thanks

yesterday we went to a clinic a woman reversed her car only looking at the back when she turned her wheel she hit my front right bumer. the damage is not notisable though but because my journey is only over a month onld I want it to be scratch free. dodge quoted it for 900 and earl scheim qouted for 600. I call the wonman and told her the cost value and she replied thats redicolous she will only pay 100bucks or she will let the bumper shop fix it in ther house together with her car but I have to wait for a week. The damage can be fix with the touch up paint. should I accept her 100 bucks offer or I will ask for more?thanks

Not trying to give myself any bad luck, I have had no issues with my SXT Journey,I love it!

sxt 3.5 v6 . san diego to long beach no a/c @ 65m/h 25mpg. long beach to san diego no a/c @ 65-70m/h 26.5 mpg.

Long beach to las vegas @70-75 with a/c 23mpg. Las vegas to Long beach @70-90m/h with a/c 23mpg.

ps. with 4 full grown adults plus bagages and a 3 year old child. Not bad huh!
