  1. I love coming here with something in mind and seeing that someone has already beat me to it, gives me hope for progress!

I too have the non-premium sound but I don't think there's a sub back there. All the lows are distributed pretty well from the doors and those speakers hit pretty hard IMO. I was thinking about a small 10" in one of the grills in the cargo area but maybe 2 6x9" 3(or even 4)-ways would produce a more complete sound,

  2. I too have been looking at the srt8 wheels for my Journey since I've gotten it. The only one I've seen is from the link that's posted. I don't think there will be a problem with the 9" but I am leaning towards a staggered look with 10" rears IF they'll fit, only problem is whether I want the gloss black, polished or gray finish.

  3. yea my wife gets upset with me when we are on a trip and stop for gas and i leave the car running (since its like 100 degrees) and get out to pump the gas and the bells keep going off, found out leave the door open a litttle and it doesnt chime.. happy wife and happy me

LOL I thought I was the only one! But I just open the door, throw the keys on the seat, and close the door.

Also, it is possible to drive without the FOB in the car and NOT have the chime go off. If she forgot her purse in the car while getting out and reached through the window to get it the car wouldn't realize the FOB is no longer there until the door is opened.

BTW, has anyone besides me been able to lock their FOB in the car?

  4. That's also what I came across after I got the itch ..

from what I can see it would probably require a tranny swap as well, if mated to a stick it loses functionality for the wife .. it were able to bolt to a bigger auto (a 6 speed auto stick would be awesome) I'd be all over it.

I think i'll start with the small first stuff like attempting to create a CAI and eventually dual exhaust ..

  5. I refuse to give up also! It can't be THAT hard since many cars are coming from the factory equipped with turbos. The engine internals should be fairly strong and able to handle 5 or 6 PSI, I'm mostly worried about the 4 speed taking on that heat but that should be resolved by adding an oil cooler. There's definitely room underneath the hood but something like an STS turbo mated to a dual exhaust setup might be ideal in this situation, but like you said tuning will still be an issue.

  6. Hello Everyone, my name is Dave and I just took ownership of my brand new 2012 Brilliant Black Journey SXT. After setting my heart on a new Charger or Challenger with the Pentastar 3.6 last year, I received news in January that I would be expecting; and oh how plans quickly changed. I got to the lot and didn't see much (though I did test drive a fully loaded Chrysler 200 before the DJ), everything that my significant other could agree upon was small or just not me. I was about to give up and get either a Dart or 200 but I decided it really wasn't about me, and if I couldn't have the Challenger I wanted then I'd compromise. I gave her the choice and here I am. It's the 2.4L and not loaded with much but the 3rd row w/ overhead climate control and Sirius, but had I known more about the car before I purchased it, I'm sure I would've upgraded a bit more. I've been lurking since the day I ordered and now that I have it, I feel it's only right to introduce myself. I love it way more than the one I test drove and look forward to making it my own with little mods here and there, as well as sharing ideas with other enthusiast such as myself!
