Yuuuuuuup. And my dealer just called to tell me they made a call to technical and now know how to do it. He said its a new procedure they have never done before. Im happy to have "won" this debate, but dissappointed it ever had to happen.

My plot thickens.... Last night John from Chrysler Customer Care told me to have my dealership call them, and they would inform them that it was possible to activate my DRL. Cool. BUT: Today I got this response to an email I sent CCC two days ago::

Dear Kris
Thank you for contacting the Dodge Customer Assistance Center regarding
your 2012 DODGE JOURNEY SE HATCHBACK.
We can advise you that Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) are standard
equipment on vehicles manufactured
for sale in Canada and optional on vehicles manufactured for the United
States.
Journeys built with this feature must show Sales Code ANF or LMK, but
according to our records your vehicle has neither so therefore your
vehicle was not equipped with Daytime Running lights feature.
Thanks again for your email.
Sincerely,
Alex

Well. Went to the dealership after work today. The Service Advisor continued to insist that my problem is a lack of HARDWARE, not a lack of SOFTWARE. Ugh. In spite of all the anecdotal evidence I have collected. At least he said he'd talk to technical support and do some research.

Thanks for the info DodgeCares. Off-topic question for you---Are you here as an actual representative of dodge/Chrysler? If so, that's pretty cool.

Note to readers with the 4.3" display:
The radio has a design support limit of 1 Gig and 255 songs for USB storage devices for some reason.
No such limitation with iPods, though you should note that you CANNOT connect an iPhone to the USB port to use as a music source.
My 4s was the first thing i hooked up to my basic 4.3 uconnect. Works great. My only audio issue is a random audio hiccup every minute or so across all media formats. Very annoying. Has anyone else experienced this?

Cool. Thank for the replies everybody. I found a couple interesting things on the web after work today.
1: http://www.media.chr..._Journey_FA.pdf This a link that specifically list DRLS as an available feature, and the AUTO light feature as NOT being available on the AVP. The exact opposite of what the dealership said.
2: http://www.sequentia....htm#ChallTip41 This is step by step instructions for a dealer to enable DLR on a new Challenger. I bet our Journeys can be adjusted exactly the same way.

Any advice on how to gently but firmly tell my dealership they are full of shit??

So, my GF went to get our DRL's enabled this morning and the dealership told her it couldn't be done because we don't have the AUTO Lights feature on our 2012 Journey AVP. Can anybody confirm this as fact or crap?? Thanks in advance, Kris.
