  1. Hi to all,

i have a little question.I would like to switch from 19" to 17" for winter tyres, but i don't know if is necessary to change some settings for the automatic transmission.I have a Fiat Freemont , but the automatic transmission is the same, it's the first time i drive a car without a stickshift.

    Any suggestion?

    Thnaks

  2. I'm wondering if the large brake size for the 2012 R/Ts will cause any problems when I want to purchase snow tires on 17" rims later this year.

I have been doing my research since Februray when I ordered my Journey, so I imagine that the tire shops where I have done my research would be using data for 2011 models. Not sure what they look at other then what smaller rim and tire size so as minimize the affect of the speedometer readout. I not one of those mechanically inclined people, so I am worried that a smaller rim size may not be an option if clearance is a problem. Or am I off base here and I don't have to be concerned.

There is absolutly no problem with the 17" rims and the new calipers/rotors.In Europe all the 17" and 19" rims have bigger brakes. With the 17" rims the clearence between the rim and the caliper is quite little but there are non problems.I think that with tne new caliper it's impossible to mount the. 16" rims.

  3. Thank you Toy4ever!During the last 4 days i've driven for 850 km , very satisfied for the awd (it rained for the most part) and for the uconnect Nav.

There's no problem for the 16 inch tyre, i've seen that there are a lot of excellent snow tyre for the 17".

The new brakes are very good but i 'can't compare with the older, i've never drove a Freemont before.

    Bye bye (from Italy!)

  4. Finally my Freemont Awd is arrived! 170 hp, diesel engine and 8,4"uconnect with Navigation System.First time with automatic gerashift,it was the only way to have the awd.

I've noticed that my Freemont has bigger rotor and caliper, like the latest Journey AWD.Mine was built in 02/2012.

    Very happy so far!

  5. Thank you for your answer Dodge Cares.Fiat send the software's file to the dealers, then the makes a cd (ISO ) to update the uconnect.

A lot of Freemont owner can't fix the problems. The Volume problem is fixed with the last update, but a lot of owner had their park assistance work slowly, it's difficult to pair the iphone, and cd or music skip if you are in Af mode (before and after update).

I'm confident that Dodge and Fiat will solve all the issues.I like this car!!

    Thanks DogeCAre.

Update me if you know somenthing about new softare update!

  6. Hi all,

i'm a new member and i'm from Italy.I'm waiting for my new Fiat Freemont AWD , the same of a Dodge Journey but with a diesel engine.Fiat Freemont is having a great success in Europe , the car is great!

I'm a member of a Fiat Freemont community, and a lot of people are having a recall from Fiat to fix 4,3" uonnect problem.

1)High radio volume when you start the car.

2)Rear park assist crash with a contiuos "beeeppppppp"

3)When AF function (auto frequency) is activated you can't listen your cd, mp3 without radio interference.

4)When you are using the phone with uconnect bluetooth you can't turn off heated seats.

There were 2 recall but when they don't fix all the problems. For example, the last recall, fix the problem of the volume , but now the park assist does not work well.

DodgeCares any suggestion? There are hardware differences between 4,3" uconnect.Only few uconnect are working perfectly.

    Thank you in advance
