on some of the journey pictures i see they have a lower front piece mainly on vehicles located outside of USA

Has anyone done any exhaust mods other than putting on new fancy exhaust tips?
I have been looking underneeth of the car and it looks pretty basic. I have a Flowmaster muffler sitting here doing nothing. It is a single in and duel out and I am looking at putting it right unter the car where the stock resinator is in the center of the floor tunnel and then running duel pipes out the rear the stock way unter the car exiting out the normal slots under the bumper. It looks to me as it is an easy removal and would be a basic slip on for the muffler and possably very easy to run pipes out the back with very little mods to bending or oter things. Hanging it looks to be the hardest thing and that is easy with sme bent ready rod welded to the pipes.
Anyone?....

Could you explain what was the last time you guys did before the bumper breaks? I had mine since 2008 still in good shape.

What sort of noise are you guys referring to? if it is the squeaking noise that's all pretty normal on the Journey worlwide, grinding noise ? then you need to get a new set of pads and perhaps the rotors as well.

I would not buy it just for my own opinion, think about it why they selling it for $10k for a car considerably 2 years old? you need to do a thorough research and ask the previous owner a lot of questions like the history of that vehicle or you could also bring a mechanic to check the condition, long story short, RESEARCH.

Please refer it to your manual that basically the best advice I can offer especially its a brand new car its always best to refer or read the manual . Not 100% percent sure if you could install it manually reason being it has a decoding code and your best shot is to talk to the dealer they might give u a good deal for that U connect accesories..

Of all the issues going on around models from 2009-2010 I would suggest don't buy one yet just wait until 2011 is out, but its really its up to you , its your call.

It is good to see Chrysler at work post-Daimler and Cerberus madness to clean up the mess of the prior owners. If this story is true, which I don't know if it is, then kudos to Fiat's team. What they will do to Chrysler is faster than I thought possible. Remember how long it takes to develop a cars from scratch - years if not an entire decade - so if they can make a dent in Chrysler's lineup in just 2 years that's impressive.
You can't blame Cerebus or Fiat AT ALL on this. The poor planning was done ENTIRELY by Daimler and Dr. Z's geniusness. Cerebus was given very little to develop on and when they finally did something, the market collapsed. Fiat has done so far nothing - but that's because they have nothing. So they are so far very ahead of things. If they can pull all of this off, as I said before, it's a miracle. 2 years is not enough time to do anything drastic in the automotive industry.

Just bought a 2010 Dodge Journey RT. Window sticker said in my convenience group II package that there was ipod control. This was a major reason I purchased this vehicle with this package. The radio I have is REU media center 230. I was looking forward to controlling my ipod via the radio controls. To make a long story short, I could not find the socket to plug the ipod in anywhere. Several calls to the dealership and chrysler, was told it's gotta be there. After 2 weeks of back and forth calls, I was finally told this is a design flaw and it is not in the car. Dodge tried ordering a part and it did not work, mopar said no US version has the working ipod control and it was a mistake on the sticker. I have been told there are no other options. Just wondering how many other people have had this problem (in the United States)? Has anyone been able to find a fix? Have you spoken to Chrysler and what have they offered you to make you a happy customer? Thanks.
I was even promised to get an Ipad didnt even get it , whats up with that?

Easy for you to say coz you are from the US, do you have something you can recommend someone from the otherside of the globe? Do u have any clue wer to purchase those ceramics pads from down unda?

Don't know if any of you realized this but the pads they are using to replace the crappy ones are still the same crappy ones. You would think they'd switch to something else. So those of you who had them replaced with the crappy ones, be prepared to do so again in a few months. I was livid when they told me they needed to be replaced and they were beyond warranty. I switched to ceramic and haven't had a problem since.

Welcome and post a pic on your new Dodge Journey. Brakes always an issue for 2009 model not sure about the latest series though I'm sure Fiat have already figured it out.
